    evening all x

My daughter was never into tv when she was a toddler but DS wanted it on from about a year old and they are still the same now, she can take or leave it but he will watch it all the time at home if I let him. They watch a fair amount in the winter and hardly anything in the summer when we are out more or they play in the back garden alot. They tend to play with their toys so much less now they are both in full time school.

DD has her nativity tomorrow and needs to be back in school for 5:30pm for the 6pm show. I think I can only take her if OH is back from work and I don't have to drag everyone out for it. I think I'm going to be back at the doctors tomorrow because I can't go on doing nothing.

Oh I had the letter through today about the heel !!!!! test and little man has the haemoglobin D trait the same as the other 2. They are still gonna come round and tell me what it means for him.

What are the implications of this? Sorry, just I haven't heard of it before!

Lovely piccies Smartie, she is a cutie:D

((hugs)) to the poorlies, my kids have also given me their bugs, so I feel all poorly and sorry for myself:(

TV - My kids are all telly addicts, but also in the summer it is barely on as they are in the garden or we go off out. DH LOVES bagpuss and all the oldies like trumpton and mr benn....he was born in 72 so grew up with them all...I don't remember them as I am a bit youger than him:p

Does anybody else see the irony that we (in general) don't want our kids to watch too much TV but then in the next breath, go on to list all our fav's from childhood? :rotfl:

Was Bagpuss for me :D and Trumpton for OH. We have the TV on in a morning and then for bedtime Waybaloo. She only really likes it for the music, especially the birthday song!

Hugs to all the sick grown ups and babies and general hugs all round xxx
My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil

    are they on DVD's?

i did have a bagpuss video...no video player anymore. I'd love K to like those. i much prefer them to some of the CGI (is that what ist called??) stuff that is on these days.
I'd totally recommend getting a video player as you can get so many old children's videos really cheaply in charity shops (or people give them away on Freecycle) that it really is worth it.

I like The Flumps. When I was at school everyone used to look blank or start talking about sweets if I mentioned them.

I remember all of them and I'm sure you're the same age or slightly older than me.

means not much for my kids but its a recessive gene and has something to do with sickle cell so has implications for when they have children depending on if the person they mate with is also a carrier etc.
