off to Santa Express now
Thank You lovely:A
One more question Jillie...when you get back from santa express (obviously) If I check out prices of 2011 for the time of year I want to go in 2012, do you think that will give me a good guide?
Or do you have some insider knowledge, that holidays are going to dramatically rise:p
I'm the same with vegetarian/vegan...or any other beliefs tbh, I have no problem with it at all, but she did look almost translucent:rotfl: Although to be fair I do know a couple of girls who are like that and they are meat eaters:)
Bad night here last night...Had L up in the night being sick, really high temp and laboured breathing, I was on the verge of whizzing him up A&E...I barely got any sleep because I had to keep checking on him...after being sick and then having some more medicine, he seemed to settle into a nicer sleep, so left him to sleep..he isn't that much better today:( But J is quite a lot better today.
T had me up a few times too, then she managed to wake K up.........
Let's just say, I may pass out with tiredness later:rotfl:Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
You can get a dairy free alternative to butter- I think it's called PURE.
What kind of things do you have in sandwiches? I try to give H what we are having, which is often hummous, some kind of cheese (which is no use to you) or peanut butter. Do you have things like ham, or tuna mayo, egg etc. Or you could try him on jam, or something like the CFR apple curd.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Should i be giving Lily fish?
I hate fish so much, even being near it in a store makes me sick. The look and the smell of it just creeps me out (I have a weird phobia of dead fish, my goldfish has been alive for almost 4yrs, so im hoping he's immortal and will never put me through hell by dying :rotfl:)0 -
I just gave mine normal thinly sliced meats such as ham, chicken etc., in sandwiches and they managed fine. Josh and James managed and neither of them had any teeth at that stage! Josh was about 18 months before his teeth appeared and James was just over a year.
Been to the club shop and Josh got a coat. It's a training style one like what the subs wear on the bench. He's away off out in it now to show it off
I wasn't sure whether ham would be ok at this stage? he's not 8 months yet. Glad to hear no teeth didn't make a difference as I think his will be a while yet lol.
EA - that's good to know. I will get some philly to try. Do you use the full fat version? ahhh just realised you said cheese doesn't affect her at all where T was really bad after mature cheddar. Probably still worth testing the philly tho. Fish is really good for them so I would say yes. T loves cod and salmon.
GISI - I would usually have sandwich meat and salad. I don't do mayo (bleurgh) but I guess I could give it to him (if DH mixed it up with tuna for me!) Egg is one I'm waiting on for now as FIL has an egg allergyMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Yeah we do, we also only use medium cheese but i dont think it makes a difference?
If i give her fish i will have to have all the windows open until i cannot smell anything. I might just ask my mum to cook it and bring it to us actually :rotfl:
The thought of cooking a dead fish makes me want to hurl.0 -
Gill, we have things like hummus (good for babies, lots of healthy fats!), avocado, peanut butter, jam (including the apple curd GISI linked to, which is DEAD SIMPLE to make)...you can get dairy free buttery spread (GISI's right, it is called Pure and comes in either soya or sunflower oils) and it tastes rather nice, so he could also have that on toast.
Hope that helps!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Is it just regular hummus or do you need a low fat version? and with avocado do you spread it or slice it? (he's had it once, mashed up) He's quite happy with dry toast atm...is there any benefit to give him the buttery spread or would it just be to make it taste better?
EA - cod stinks, I feel a bit sick while giving it to him and I enjoy it so maybe you should get DH to give it to her? also it makes his poo smell fishy as well......Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Well she feeds herself, and im the appointed cleaner of her :rotfl:0

vitalite is dairy freeand cheap! What's for you won't go past you0

Gill we use Pure - but vitalite is another that is dairy free and is more MSE. Some of the olive oil spead are ok too, but some still add buttermilk so always check to labels.
Do you want me to list the ingredients we have been told to avoid? I would have to dig the book out.
We avoid philly - it is made with milk - which is a shame becaue L really liked it. And mayo too - but we are avoiding eggs.
We have had some success with the vegan cheese (Cheezley) L likes it on pizza and in toasties.0
