SS I'm laughing at the image of you taking the christmas tree home on the bus :)

    Me too :D

It reminded me of when my Dad took a curtain pole home on the bus. He was on the seat holding it upright and people kept getting hold if it thinking it was the bus pole, so he was wiggling it and watching the expression on their faces :rotfl:

I have wrapped all 2 of Lilys xmas gifts. I dont know what else to get for her, everyone else took my ideas :p

I wouldn't get a lot as she won't really know. Save your money as she'll get more expensive as she gets older :D

I was just off to bed but now Bridget Jones is on and I do love Colin Firth :p.

Mmmm I love him too :D

Charlotte is currently playing Big and Small games on the other PC, but the music and voices are so irritating :o

Popping out later. Finally taking Josh to get his birthday present. He's been waiting a fortnight for it due to the weather - poor thing!
Here I go again on my own....

Anyone know off the top of their head when holidays for 2012 will go on sale?? I am going to try and investigate myself but it is easier to ask here;)

Also CAFC yes I saw that CDWM with the vegan...didn't she look unhealthily pale (imo anyway!)

I've got no qualms with people's stances on things like vegetarianism/veganism etc same as I dont get all hyped up with alternative vs conventional medicine, but she was a bit too overboard on it, at everyones meal she passed comment and on the last night asking the other young girl why a young cow was acceptable and a young deer now....
I appreciate she's got strong beliefs but in order to make people think about/question theirs you've got to go about it in the right way...

    And yes she looked ILL!

:rotfl: Becles, it was a very silly bus though - four prams/pushchairs, three dogs, two Christmas trees and then a man in a wheelchair tried to get on and when the doors opened the look on his face was priceless. We did make space for him though - was very tight but we all fit.

Tia, I also recommend honey for a cough. Just a spoon of it.

Miss M and I are off to meet a friend for lunch, Husband's too sick to join us. He is currently stressing because he can't find his credit card anywhere and thinks he lost it in the airport (two weeks ago ) and I am struggling to understand how it took him two weeks to notice he couldn't find it..

CAFC I've recently seen a Slanket on offer for £6.99 I think, maybe Tesco?

I agree with you on militant veggies/vegans being irritating. When I was a vegetarian I was always a bit :o when people talked about it in case they thought I was one of those. I think the only acceptable commentary on someone else's meal choices is, ooh, that looks good! and nothing if it doesn't.

I could use some advice please ladies. We've done the purees route with Thomas along with finger food and he's taken to both really well. He is obsessed with bread or toast tho and if DH or I have bread he refuses to eat his puree until he has bread also. As I have sandwiches every day for lunch I'm thinking it would be good to give him sandwiches too. Any suggestions for what would be suitable to put on them? He can't have dairy because of his eczema. I thought I could spread some purees on them but would like to move onto proper adult food too.

I just gave mine normal thinly sliced meats such as ham, chicken etc., in sandwiches and they managed fine. Josh and James managed and neither of them had any teeth at that stage! Josh was about 18 months before his teeth appeared and James was just over a year.

Been to the club shop and Josh got a coat. It's a training style one like what the subs wear on the bench. He's away off out in it now to show it off :D

The no dairy rule, does it extend to cheese spread? Lily loves Philly sandwichs and they dont affect her eczema at all, nor does cheese. But cows milk does, its weird.

    Jam is messy.
