Sugar - am reading a book that everytime i pick up, it makes me think of you
"The Magic of Christmas"
on another note just checked on L and he's asleep on his side holding onto the slat with his eco bunny under his cheek, awwwwwwww
Am trying to decide what purees to make for his next attempt after the baby porridge....... any suggestions?
And also, should I wait until he happily noms a "meals" worth of porridge before moving onto something else?or give it three days of offering one thing and then moving onto the next? And do I just replace the porridge meal with a different taste or the new taste at the next meal time iyswim
So for example
early am - milk
breakfast - milk
lunch - porridge and milk
evening tea - new food and milk
bed - milkWealth is not measured by currency0 -
CAFC I gave Molly a new food every two days along with breastmilk on demand and porridge for breakfast. Just some sort of pureed fruit or veg and it drove me mad because I'd put the equivalent of about an eighth of a carrot in the bowl and she'd either turn her nose up and the effort wasted drove me mad or she'd try to eat the spoon and the bowl and suck the bib dry.
And the book sounds wonderful. My Nigella Bites book arrived so I am planning to settle down with it once the beast is asleep.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Helloooooo...Soooo, my instrument of torture is being collected tomorrow and then hidden away (and hopefully wrapped with pretty bows on it:D)
T hates the highchair, she starts moaning EVERYTIME I stick her in it...until I start shovelling food into her mouth! Anyway today she sat and gobbled up a whole rusk herself...yes I know, I know...food of the devil/junk food etc etc...but my weird dh buys them for himself to eat:cool:, so we tend to have them in the house, I figured at least it dissolves so is probably a good trial food for her....she had absolutely no problems ramming it in her mouth:p
Need to nip and sort hot water bottles for the boys...Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -

Hi everyone, I've given up for the night! Just chilling out now (or trying to - I keep remembering people I need to ring and notify that we're moving, so have to drop everything and do that).
Aless - I'm sorry Finn's got an ear infection and I hope the ab's clear it up quickly.
Becles - yay for catching up on your work.
Caz - yay for kids being back at school and finishing your Christmas shopping!
MDW - Hope Katie is feeling better soon.
Mel - have you got a spare hot water bottle? Sounds just what I could do withWorking hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Krystal, I'm glad your littlest is safely tucked up terrorising your intestines and hasn't fallen out on your way to the toilet or anything. Although you'd think with the umbilical cord getting tangled round your feet you'd notice.
I've only read this page so this seems extremely weird! :rotfl:
Becles I think Cheryl would have ketchup with her fish. How very cute of Charlotte.
Sorry Finn isn't well but as others have said hopefully now he has the anti-b's he will improve quickly.
CAFC lovely new avvy!!
Susan lovely new siggy!
All good here. Well, DH has a bit of an upset stomach today but wanted pizza hut for tea so can't be that bad. DS is loving his walker and laughs so much pushing it around. He keeps letting go of hands too when you hold onto him. He's getting more confident by the day.0 -
im stuck under my sleeping baby......
and the remote is out of reach ............ gah
i need to work out how to save/make some money......
Have you had a look through the Up Your Income board? It's not all for everyone but there are lots of ways on there to make a bit of extra cash. You know sometimes I forget I've successfully reared a child thing with out the help of an internet forum... or in fact the internet as there was no such thing in those days!!
He is very much alive, has good health, in top sets for everything, doesn't smoke or drink or take drugs and if Daisypoos turns out to be anything like him I'll be a very proud mummy:D
....I bet now he comes home tomorrow !!!!!!, smelling of fags and with a letter from school saying he's been kicked out;):rotfl:
Crikey. I'm glad I didn't respond to your first question, as I too thought you were asking about weaning because you were considering doing it.evening all x
sugarspun my DS1 did not get his first tooth till he was 11 months but ate anything and everything by then, I just made sure things like meat were cut quite small. He mostly followed BLW too.
Right new little one is going to be 4 weeks old on thursday and he still sleeps nearly all the time is this normal? I can't remember how long the others were so sleepy for. He will occassionally stay awake for 10 minutes after a feed but not often.
DS slept an awful lot at that age too. If he's happy and alert when he's awake I wouldn't be worried. If you are worried though contact your HV.
DS has no teeth yet and he's 10 months. He happily muches on anything and everything BLW stylee  It does annoy me how pretty much everyone tells me, all the time, how he "looks like he has some teeth coming". Well, yes, they are coming at some point but he's been doing the chewing on EVERYTHING for as long as he's been able to get his chops around stuff.0 -
How are you getting on RED?? i have been thinking about you all day xx
I have a very tired ill baby who is refusing to sleep yet again, the past 2 nights have ended up with her in beside me just to get her to sleep. She keeps looking at me with her swollen eyes saying 'sowy mummy' her words are coming on very fast and its making me laugh, i do see how far Charlie is behind more and more. E has also started to copy C and says 'lets sign' when we cant understand her and then she stands and looks at C to sign for her as she doesnt know what she should be doing lol!!!What's for you won't go past you0 -
Hope Katie, Erin, Finn and Mr RB feel better soon, plus Tia for her flu and any other sickly mummies.
I was hoping to read my lovely Nigella book but Molly's been fighting sleep for two hours now and I'm exhausted. It's been a busy day and a bit of heavy going at times - but I'm feeling positive.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
