Just had a thought, do people get presents from babies generally? So do i need to get hubby a present from DS? I 'spose it's totally up to me really but wondering what do others do?

Yes definitely - DH knows I'll be devastated if I don't get a present off Thomas :o

We've said about £15 each but it'll just come off what we'd usually get off each other iyswim. Thomas is also buying for grandparents and auntie and uncle but just token ones. Apart from my Dad who he'll be buying some m & s slippers for. My dad's auntie has bought him m & s slippers every year and he looks forward to getting them on xmas day. She died earlier this year and my dad was :( thinking about xmas and not getting them so I said Thomas would get them. I thought it would be a nice tradition to carry on.

eta obviously my dad is sad because she's not here to give the slippers not because of the slippers!!

  • We have about 6-8 inches of snow! DH was working a night but has made it home okay so he is now in bed. We're planning to put our wellies on and play in the garden in a bit.

I hope everyone's nice and safe in the warm.

  • Morning all. There is snow here too :) Will have to phone the sure start centre and see if it is still open - we can get to playgroup no problem on foot from here, but won't bother if the doors will still be locked ;)

We have barely any snow. Amber enjoyed crunching through it last night though.

Erm, we had at least 4-5" more overnight. It's insane. Car stuck again, no work for DH. It's actually really frustrating because we're about 50m from a main road, but our road is SO snowy and icy that he can't get to the main road (which is fine). Gatwick Airport's still shut, too. Loads of Eurostar is suspended as well, so I hope that doesn't spoil your Plan B, SS.

Wishing I had some wellies now!

Oh and they're calling for up to 10cm more throughout today!

    Morning

More snow here overnight too. The dogs always go out for a wee last thing at night, so we can tell we've had more snow if their foot prints have vanished by morning!

My neighbour really struggled to get his car out of the street with lots of digging and shoving.

Both schools are closed again, so I'm staying home and trying to rearrange my diary yet again. Got so much work that has been shoved onto other dates. I'm also expecting paperwork in the post for work, but we've had no post and I'm expecting a delivery of stands for next weeks work but we've had no courier deliveries. It's madness and getting a bit worrying as I'm not earning.

Managed to get some online mystery shopping jobs where I have to assess the site, buy things and return them. I'm doing the assessing and buying, but no idea how they are actually going to get the items to me!

Stay safe and warm everyone xx
Here I go again on my own....

Aless, Plan C is to head to Liverpool and wait it out down there with VBF's lovely newborn and more reliable wireless. Husband is going to need to work on Monday and he's raging because he'd booked this second week of work to do loads of sorting and organising in our cluttered apartment and isn't going to have much time after this.
