I couldn't even be bothered to look, just stuck it in a bobble lol...

I did find Caitlyn's other zigzag mitten though... 3 days after hubby bought her a new pair... (and paid £3 more for them than I would... That's the problem with sending a man to fetch things...)

Taxi was booked for 1... Wonder what time it'll turn up..
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • We managed to get to the surestart centre - no proper playgroup, but there were 3 mummies with assorted kids (including us) and we just played with the toys in the little sure start bit. Ours is attached to the community centre, so the hall is used for playgroups, and the office has books and toys and stuff, so if there is no playgroup on and you just need to get out of the house and play with some different toys for a bit (and have a free coffee and talk to a grown up!) you can escape. Izzy liked the snow until she started to get cold. She fell asleep in my arms on the way home after screaming lots, and has had a dozy drink of milk on the sofa with me. She has now woken up enough to eat some lunch, so while she is eating that I can finally get some for myself. Hoorah :)

    Afternoon all :)

Rhys finally zonked out. He didn't seem tired but it was time for a [STRIKE]cuppa for me[/STRIKE] bit of quiet time for him so parked him in front of the patio doors to watch the falling snow.. It worked, he's snoring ;)

I'm not at all impressed with OH.. he walked in to work this morning. Took him two hours  I'm gonna be very low on sympathy if he gets ill from it :p *mean little wifey*

.. Elle, thanks for the info about alfie bear, i was going to get him from smythes after your first post as we are going there anyway this week because i want a giggling elmo chair for him(he is probably too young just yet but it sounds so cute!) but then after you post about the discount(and the factDebenhams had a blue one ans smyths didnt) i thought that it was a bit cheaper in debenhams - but - you guessed it, i thought "i will just have a look at what else is on sale" and spent a fortune! however none of it on me so i dont fell at all bad! Hope you are feeling better today?

Sorry! Debenhams is a bit addictive - I've placed about four orders already for xmas presents this year and not one of them has arrived in just one package. Hermes delivery woman's car probably knows it's own way to my house by now! :o I'm feeling much better too, thankyou xx

Time I did something productive.. after another mince pie ;)
  • My DH walked half way into town then his boss told him not to bother coming in at the normal time and to go in later. So when we went to playgroup he walked back into town again, got on a bus, then his boss told him that they were shutting and not to bother coming in at all! Good thing he has a bus pass really - he just got off at the next stop and came back. He has done a bit of shopping in town and is now in the pub. I have told him that seeing as he isn't at work I expect him to either help with my spring clean, or at least come home and entertain Izzy while I get on with things!

I have exerted myself and actually attached the felt gingerbread man garland advent calender to the bannister and filled it with chocolates. A day late I know, but have been too wrecked to do it.

My fabulous mum has taken the boys to hers to look after them today, so i can rest. Joe still coughing and Alex very snotty but both seem to be getting better.

Hugs to all who need them. I'm off to flick through Sky abd see if i can find a nice film to listen too, while i rest my eyes....

Cutterby - I'd be annoyed about the stealing and lying with the make-up. I do think she should be punished, but this evening rather than with the party. If she was mine, I'd ban TV, electronics and any sweets or other treats she gets on an evening.

Charlotte is 3 and loves make up already. I bought a glitter eyeliner in Boots and she is allowed a tiny stripe of glitter on her eye lids for special occassions. It's a good compromise as she thinks she has full make up on, but it does look OTT on her.

Still stuck in our street. It's layers of compacted snow and ice now, and cars just can't get any grip to drive up it. Walked along to the shop in the next village with Charlotte and the main road didn't look too bad. Think I could get some work done if only I could get out of the street.

Charlotte was excited as Mr Tumble just went to the Farne Islands and she kept saying "I went there" :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

I'd be mad about the stealing make up too Cutterby. Keira loves make up, I've ordered her a pile for Xmas in fact, just garish eyeshadows and lip glosses/balms, some neon nail varnishes - she is 4 btw :rotfl: She loves it. Dresses up in the house, won't let her go out in that state tho, but anyhoo, she likes to help herself to my make up and tbh I have so much, I don't mind, but she knows to ask, she asked for my bourjois bright red lipstick, so I let her have it, and she can put it on better than I can :rotfl: and I only bought it to wear to a party as I look like a tranny with it on.

Think she is the only 4 year old with proper brands off make up.

I put some make up on Ellie last week as she wanted it, was bourjois glittery eyeliner and Barry M eyeshadow, well she was allergic to one of them and her eyes blew out like she'd been punched.

She can wear teh cheap generic stuff though, clearly my mum has taught her to be allergic to expensive things :rotfl:

    Good plan your mum :)

I did read about makeup pinching btw, I'd just not commented as we're not at that stage yet, so I didn't really have anything to add. I very rarely wear makeup, but Izzy still colours her lips in with felt tip if I turn my back. I can only assume she has got that from other kids at nursery whose mums do wear makeup, as I don't think she has ever seen me put any on :rotfl:.

In my clear out yesterday I threw away my first ever lipstick. I didn't know I still had it, but that shade of pink was NEVER a good idea :rotfl:. I also threw away an eyeshadow which was my Mum's 18th birthday present from my uncle. Maybe I should have put it on ebay - someone must collect these things!
