Oh, also...
Do I remember correctly that general advice for a stubborn baby who won't eat much, not even his favourite foods is to just keep offering them normal food and they will eat again eventually?
oh have you one as well?
K has hardly eaten today. refused his fromage frais too which he usually devours.
but, yeah keep offering the things they like most. it does usually work for us.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Yes, ignoring can help us here, too - he's just been off food for a couple of days and I hoped I wasn't being too casual about it.

i find when K is teething or getting a cold he goes off his food for a few days.
is he eating anything? drinking loads?
as long as he eats a little and still has his milk, i'm not too concerned. he seems to be having a growth spurt at the moment,he seems taller everyday 'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

mine have a bath/shower about every 6-8wks, hairwashes, prob less often
inbetween they get a going over with a babywipe/flannel, but again, its not a daily thing, more just to remove visible dirt lol
can honestly say, they dont smell or look any dirtier than all their peers who have baths on a daily basis
until they reach an age, where hormones kick in, and BO starts to be a factor, then i dont see that they need to wash that often.
tbh i wish i could go months without washing my hair (i bath/shower at least once a day, if not more). my DD can just give her hair a quick brush and its back to normal. even after shes done PE at school, and has her hair plastered to her head in sweat, once its dried naturally, its still looks clean and presentable - perhaps what they say about natural oils self-cleaning the hair is true
sometimes i wonder how long i could go without bathing them at all, but every so often they get so muddy, that a babywipe just doesnt suffice

Do they? How often do you bath your kids?
7pm every night all three get thrown in hair wash every other day for the boys every 3 days for the girl (have to blow dry its really long)
We have tried going without a bath - DID NOT GO WELL....kids still up at 10pm:eek:
I think mine are so use to bathtime / milk time / storey time / sleep:)
If its late or we have been out we only put an inch of water in the bath for a paddle but makes all the difference for us."Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.":beer:0 -
We have a Sunday night bathnight but we don't stress if we miss one... In the summer it's probably more often but the 6yo gets dirtier playing out all the while... The baby goes in the bath with her sister... When the next one comes along we'll probably chuck that one in with it's sisters eventually...
I've never been one for a bath before bed routine... Brushing their teeth is a big enough cue that it's not just a nap time...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

its about 2 or 3 times a week here. unless it is really needed.
he gets in with me now once a week.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
I think I might start just giving them baths once a week! The baby's skin is really dry anyway so that might actually help
