  • Ooh, we're back.

Good news is that while the forums were down I use the tax code checker and I think DH's might be wrong so we might be owed some pennies.

EA, did the midwife not mention referring you? It could be because your BMI is above their range, or maybe because Lily was above their normal birthweight range...

Mine is because I am humungously fat... But you don't have to have the extra things they suggest if you don't want to... I've turned down the growth scans and a glucose test and a referral to an anaesthetist because I feel they're unecessary for me...

Caitlyn just ate a mince pie :D I thought she'd not like the bit in the middle but that was the bit she ate first!! She left half the pastry lol...

No, she said that although my BMI is high she can see im not obese. Im ok with having it all, i just want to know why im having it, no one has actaully explained it to me :rotfl:

I think I remember you saying before you were due to be under consultant-care this time, in which case, if it's like my friend's recent pregnancy I would imagine it is your recall letter to begin your antenatal care with that consultant's team. HTH x

Well she said i might go under the consultant if my BMI remained at 35 or more. The appointment is at 8:45am *sob* :o

EA- could you give your midwife a call later to find out.

She said she prefers texts to phone calls as she can answer as and when, and what i want to ask will take up more than 1 text :D

Im stuffed, me and DH went to the shop to get me a pot noodle and we also got crisps, chocolate and sweets :p

If things had been different, had I been diabetic or the babies had been >10lb then I might be more agreeable to extra testing...
My MIL had the GTT with her second and third pregnancies because she had big babies even though common sense should have told them after the second baby/pregnancy that it wasn't GD causing large babies. (And if they'd asked her they would have known that she and FIL and their siblings were all big too.) I think they work a bit like a computer programme and automatically offer everything they're supposed to based purely on numbers because they'll probably get into trouble if they haven't offered everything that on paper they should.

  • Hi All,

I'm just popping on to say thank you to you all for all your messages. Thank you for your kindness.

I now have a sore throat, and ds has a runny nose, only hoping its not a bad night.

My day has been ok, busy but a little hard doing all those things with mind sayng this is pointless, my husband isn't here any more, why bother. (Sorry self pity and wallowing)

Right I must go to bed before ds wakes at some ridiclous time in the morning.
  • Twoflower - big hugs, I used honey, lemon and hot water when I had a bad throat whilst I was pregnant.

Also you are not self pitying or wallowing you are grieving, you are allowed to feel the way you do.

  • twoflower - it is hard enough doing all those things for any of us never mind being pregnant or having lost your husband. Please don't feel the need to apologise. You will have us all feeling guilty for moaning about everything we have to do.

Do you know whether you are having a boy or a girl?

  • Morning all. Glad to see MSE is back. What was all that about?

I've not read back, just this page, but ~hugs~ for twoflwer. We are all here for listening you know :)

Izzy woke us up with blood-curdling screams (the kind the maid does in murder mysteries when she has just found the dead body :rotfl:), at 5am. No idea what that was all about, but she didn't want me to leave he, so I slept on the sofa in her room for another hour. And had a very odd dream where it was raining lots outside, and there was a chicken in my living room and I accidentally went to work with no shoes on. Dreams are weird

Now I have a clingatron attached to me. I need her to let go so I can hang the washing out and get some things done. But never mind, cuddles are good too :)

  • You can't hang washing out at 6:30am, Ladybird. That is absolutely obscene! That time of the morning is reserved for either sleeping or sitting on the sofa with the laptop while the baby plays!

Hugs twoflower. It is totally normal to feel like that at the moment, so please don't feel bad about it. Keep chatting to us.

1 year jabs for us today, then swimming, then I'm giving blood for the first time since I've had H. I'm dubious about whether my iron levels are high enough, but we'll see!
