tbh i dont really understand this lack friday thing on amazon, how do you know whats gonna be in it? and do you have to just put it in your basket or actually check out before the time runs out?

  • No, don't put it in your basket, go to the black friday deal page, where they show the items with timers. Click where the 'add to basket' icon comes up, but start clicking before it's there - about 5 seconds before it's due to go on sale.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Mine is because I am humungously fat... But you don't have to have the extra things they suggest if you don't want to... I've turned down the growth scans and a glucose test and a referral to an anaesthetist because I feel they're unecessary for me...

Just reading this has cheered me up... Not that I'm pregnant mind (well yet anyway!) I had to have all the above done when I had Daniel due to my huge huge bmi. Knowing I can refuse these things makes me feel better about getting pregnant again. I felt like a bleed ing pin cushion last time (quite literally) with injecting myself twice daily and blood testing 4 times daily.

Were you diabetic last time round?

See I would look at it a bit different if I had been diabetic, but for me, personally... I have had 2 healthy pregnancies, normal sized babies (on the large side of normal but still normal) and don't feel that there is any reason for any extra medical intervention this time around...

If things had been different, had I been diabetic or the babies had been >10lb then I might be more agreeable to extra testing...

But the medical team are there to advise you and offer you what they think is best (or what falls within the guidelines..) just because they recommend it, doesn't mean you have to do it... But research things, look into how you can help yourself and offer them well thought out arguments for your own standard of care :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

It's a thing called work they keeps getting in the way! By the time I get home of a night, put Daniel to bed, made tea and tidied up I'm too tired to do much else so I end up in bed early!

Other than that we are all good, how are you and yours? xx
