They do still do BCG in certain areas. Finn had it, but I wish now that I hadn't taken him, as we've moved out of our "high risk" area so now it's just a pointless scar. :o I didn't get swine flu for myself whilst pregnant OR for Finn, despite being offered both times.

You can tell you're really down to the bare bones in your cupboards/fridge when you have egg fried rice for dinner...it was literally about the only thing I could've made! Oops. :p Good thing DH is stopping by the shop on the way home.

I was just going over my Tesco shop I ordered in the early AM this morning, and I just realised I've added a bunch of stuff, I don't even need.

Like chapatti flour? When will I ever actually make that :rotfl:

I did order stuff into make the kebab receipe and South indian garlic chilli curry from the takeaway secret book.

But seriously, how much prep does that curry need  You have to make the base sauce FIRST, and then marinate chicken in a tikka concoction, and THEN make the chuffin' curry  If this curry isn't the best thing ever, I will just have to complain.

Also, the receipe required fenugreek leaves but tesco didn't have them, I'm just going to "forgo" them, cause I cba actually leaving the house and getting a bus anywhere :rotfl:
  • BM they sell frozen fenugreek leaves at asda - they are a favourite of mine :)

I've not looked this year, but in the past I've got lovely baskets in In-Store/Poundstretcher. They're not dead cheap but cheaper than many places.

I've also used bags from here instead of baskets for hampers. They are lovely.
OH!!! they are brilliant! my mum is a nurse and my CM likes knitting :D at least they could reuse the bags as i never know what to do with the baskets and boxes!!!!

I intend to have vaccinations but fully support those who don't;) I had whooping cough as a child. I've had suspected swine flu and sadly someone I went to school with died late in pregnancy because of it. The baby was saved.
my lot are all vaccinated as i also had whooping cough when i was little and my parents had been told if it wasnt for the vaccine it could have killed me! I also understand why people dont and also why people pay for the seperate MMR, it would be an awful boring world if we were all the same:A

:omy baby girl has picked up a swear word! hopfully she forgets it!

  • Katie's had all the jabs inc piggy flu.

The most important vaccine for me is the polio, my mum had it as a child, quite mildly, but it has still had a profound effect on her life.

Hugs SS - I also hope important bits of their anatomy turn green and fall off.

We have a mini mountain of biscuits in chez MDW I found lots when sorting the freezer the other day.

It's going to be a late night for Katie as she fell asleep at 5pm, she's currently wtaching Open Season on Sky+

sami what shopping bags are they?? most of the items are M&S as i have been buying their offers and putting them away along with all the alcohol from the meal deals lol!!!
    ...
Every Christmas M&S do Christmassy themed shopper, its 'just' a fabric shopping bag but a nice christmas design so will hold the gifts and then the reviver can use the bag for their shopping, they don't have them on the website tho.

  • Evening all.

Evie has had her first lot of immunisations today and she is not a happy bunny :(. Very sleepy but when she is awake she just screams and is really upset. She's got a temperature too so tried to give her calpol but she spat most of it back out. My poor baby.

I've been for my postnatal check also - bp checked and contraception chat and that was about it. :D

SS - sounds like you've had a bad day.

:o sorry can't remember anything else.
