Mad - I changed to a sippy cup quite early, I definitely had K off all bottles before 12mths old, he just took to it and never bothered about a bottle from then on. I know at least one mum on here who has a 20mth old who still won't use anything other than a bottle...I think, the best thing to do is introduce slowly, so maybe at mealtimes give some water in it...just to get him used to it, before trying him with cows milk, then reduce the amount of drinks he has in the bottle in exchange for using the cup....good luck with it.
Thanks for this... The thing is he will drink water from a cup no problem, but as soon as it has milk in it he isn't interested!Jacob James born 15/10/2009, 23:39 - 8lb

CAFC - I've had a weekend like that and told OH the same thing more than once! I don't think it helps having a really bad AF!
Delain - shame its not after xmas, you could have picked something up in the sales. I love Monsoon sales for wedding outfits etc.0 -
Bruno that made me laugh. I've done that before, but not quite to that extent - I've bought 5 bags of onions instead of 5 onions. There was a lot of onion soup that week.
I spoke to soon with small girl sleeping - have been sat in her room reading my book while she goes to sleep. I have no idea what is the problem at the mo, but she is everso clingy
Oh, I'm not ignoring bottle/cup discussions, just have nothing helpful to add. Izzy would never take a bottle, so went straight onto using a cup when I wasn't there. The only thing I CAN think of that might help is that nubby do a cup which has a very bottle like spout, so maybe that would work as a compromise to start with?Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Ah right! Have you tried using a different type of cup, and maybe have two types, one for water/juice and one for milk...Tbh, K doesn't drink much milk now, but when he does he has it in a cheapy old fashioned sippy cup the type that just pours out, the spout! That is what I have always given it him in, but for water or juice he has a non spill one.
Apart from that maybe don't worry too much about it, leave him with a bottle for his milk and as he is gets older you can reduce the amount of milk he has anyway and it can be made up in yoghurts, cheese etc.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Delain, I am rather loving this. You'd need to add a coverup but there are some on the site (this? I like this better), and a 10% code plus 4% Quidco.
