I am more of a lurker than a poster but would like some advice off you very knowledgeable people if that's ok!?
Jake is 13 months old and is having a really rough time at the mo with teething (at least thats what I think it is!) He is constantly crying and is totally off his food which is so unlike him! Does anyone have any good tips on trying to soothe this? I have been giving him calpol and bonjella, but these only have short term effect and I don't want to keep dosing him up! I am assuming it is his molars which are trying to push through!
Also on another note, how did you manage the transition from bottle to cup for milk feeds? He has moved onto cows milk but will only have it out of a bottle and am not sure how to move him on!
Any advice is gratefully received!

We use the Nelsons Teetha teething powders, A&P don't touch the sides here. There is a liquid called Anbesol which is supposed to be good too, although we have hardly ever used ours. The powders are good for settling dicky tummies and calming horrible nappies down.
Do you have the tommee tippee flip top cup? It really is fabulous. I would work on 1 bottle at a time and just give him the milk in a cup for him to sip at when he wants.
We still have a bedtime bottle here. I like him to have a big drink of milk before he goes to bed and he doesn't drink enough milk quick enough out of a cup. I am not that worried about it (Benjamin is 20 months today)

Although OH did go to tesco recently to get a DVD player (ours was broken) and he'd been looking at really expensive ones in store when we did the shop the week before, and he came home with a cheaper one and a £150 stereo he'd seen me looking at (which I hadn't even asked for):D:D I was so happy!

Calpol and ibuprofen stacked/overlapped when needed for bad pains, including teething... cold things to bite on (teethers from the fridge/freezer, cold veg like chilled carrot, even an icecube...), teething powders, all have some use for teething
E is just teething some back molars, must be something like a year since his last tooth came through before that!
What site would anyone recommend for second hand car buying guides? Lots around I know, just wondering if any are viewed as better/more reliable than others?0 -
I think Debenhams sizes are fairly true, and that dress has a tie at the waist for minor adjustments in any case. I think they're good for taller ladies as well since I always have to chop bloody great wodges off the bottom of anything.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hi Mad, know you feel on both counts!
Jack is 14 months and has been a nightmare recently (pretty sure it's teeth). Just A&P powder here. He's been murder with his meals today. He also still has his milk in a bottle, I'm in no rush to change it. He won't entertain it in a sippy cup - although this is the woman who still lets her child have a bottle (or 2) in the night so might not be the best person to advise! I am working on it this week now BIL has moved out!
I'm off to the docs in the morning, been quite unwell the last few weeks but I actually think I might be depressedbut hey ho there's people out there with worst problems than me.
I've not had chance to catch up, so I hope everyone is OK. Lovely to see everyone the other week and was a bonus to get some time off work!!
Oh yeah and the reason I came on!!
