I too was woken at 6.30am to the sounds of Josh being sick. Everyone has been sick here now except me. I just feel quite nauseous. Keep your fingers crossed that I've not got the sick bug as I haven't got time to be ill.

Got an audit to go out and do for work this morning, so I need to stay sick free until I've done that :D

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....
  • Gah for broken TVs, Redstar. How incredibly annoying.

    Enjoy your shopping trip Ethelsmum.

Thanks for thinking of me MFD. Things are good at the moment actually. DH is being much more help with H and I'm feeling much better about everything. My biggest current annoyance is that the husband (who got DH moved at work) has the same name as we had chosen for future DS2, which makes me a bit :( as we won't now use it and it is my second favourite boy's name :p. But generally all is good in chez GISI.

Look on the bright side - you may only have girls after this anyways. :p

Must've been something in the air - Finn was awake at 4:30, cried for 20 min and back to sleep until only 5:40am, when he was plonked onto boobie until 6, at which point lovely DH got up with him.

Only on for a tic - about to drive 2 hours for SIL's 21st birthday lunch. Yes, I am a bit prickly as while I understand 21 is A Big Deal, driving 4+ hours in 1 day just for lunch when we honestly don't have the petrol money, is not my ideal way to spend a Sunday. *selfish grump*

Hope other mommies enjoy their day!!

  • Has everyone seen this and this on Grabbit? Games are OOS near me, but I'll be getting a few NOTW for stocking fillers and bits and bobs.

ETA: Hope your day is okay Aless, but I'd be prickly about that too! When do you start your job?

thanks GISI - We love board games in our family and often spend christmas eve playing new one, so I think I'll 'treat' the family this year :D

Was mega busy yesterday. My parents came over and we painted most of the house - the huge hall, kitchen and living room and our bedroom -phew! My mum waas a star and took LO out then made us all dinner while my dad, DH and I got down to the painting. The place looks gorgeous now - even if I say so myself.

DH at the gym so I'm slobbing around in pjs with LO until he gets home - then off to run errands and have some 'me' time hopefully! No idea what it is I want to do, but just need an ahour or two to myself today! I've been on 'duty' for a couple of weeks now as DH was away lst weekend and LO and I need some space ;)

Thanks for the advice Som. It's good to know the leg thing isn't an issue but I'll monitor his head and perhaps put a picture up for some advice. I can hopefully get away with it until he's older...after Jam's and Sami's advice I'll look into the maxi cosi one.

We had a fab night last night. T woke for a feed at 5.30 then went back down until 8 when I heard him playing. He played happily until 8.30 when we came dowstairs :)

His eczema has flared up again this week after almost going. I think it might be dairy as he's had cow & gate porridge every day (the week before he had organix made with expressed milk) and he's had some cheese. I'm going to cut those out again and see what happens.

Plus, if i sell my clearblue fertility monitor, it will technically be free right? And therefore mse :money::D
  • Oooh, DH has taken A to see Karate Kid on Kids Club at the cinema, so I'm having a nice relaxed me and baby time (he's currecntly bouncing beside me in his door bouncer :))!
Had a bit of a query to ask - has anyone bottle feeding had any issues with follow-on milk?
I usually use Aptimil, but I've just switched to their Follow-on milk and F keeps bringing it back up, much more than he did with their Hungry Milk - there's no other problems I can see, so wondered if it was the milk as the timing seems a bit of a coincidence.
EA - I found the 2nd trimester the hardest.
Gill - sorry to hear that the eczema's back, but yay for a good night!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
