Definite hugs to Mel, and fingers still crossed for Tia and Amber. And also hugs for Elle because !!!!!!
people are so very stupid.
OH is ok in that contractions have gone away and she has just had twinges today; however she had a bit of a meltdown this pm, after first the online shopping order arrived and she couldn't put it all away (bending and stretching), then E wouldn't go down for his nap. She is ok again now and if I have my way we are for a very early night.
I think I said on FB, but many congratulations on beating the evil HR people at their own game

ladybirdintheuk wrote: »Kitkat if you can manage to get to them (do you drive?) mum and baby groups etc are a great way of meeting people. Even if you don't feel you NEED to be meeting people, it is good fun, and I think it is good for the little ones too, even if they don't play together at this stage. You might find you have to visit a few to find one that suits you though - they will all have different groups of people, and some times you just don't click iyswim
I would try going along because it will be fun, not because the HV said so
Yes I drive. I might do some research and find out where the local ones are, there is one in the village (I think) but TBH this village is a bit 'keeping up with the jones's' so I imagine it would be incredibly competitive with milestones and designer prams and clothes... LOL. I probably wouldn't fit in as I am quite happy for T to just stay a tiny baby forever and not run rings around me and swear at me.. LOL.I know it's not for everyone but I would agree with this.
I've made a really good RL Mummy friend through going to BF support group. It was a bit carp so we didn't go back but started meeting up for coffee and now we're really good friends. She has a baby boy 2 months younger than T and they love each other now. It's really nice to have someone to talk to who knows what you're going through. I'm finding the older T gets the more I need the company as well.
We go to a stay and play group on a Monday and swimming on either a weds or thurs where we're socialising with other Mums but haven't met anyone we get one quite as well with. She goes back to work in January so I've started going to Rhyme Time on a Friday and also Baby Massage as I need to get to know some other people too.
If you don't feel confident about talking to people (although I don't get that impression
) Then Rhyme Time is good because it is structured and filled with singing. I think you said T loved singing so he'll probably enjoy it.
See this is what I want; to meet someone who is similar to me who I can easily chat to (like on here!) Funnily enough I am actually terrible in group situations; walking into a packed supermarket or even going to Dr's surgery is a challenge for me , once I am 'comfortable' I am fairly confident and you wouldnt know I have any issues.. but its the initial walking into a busy place... *shivers*
Bruno: When is Mrs Bruno due? I had many a meltdown during my pregnancy when I couldn't do stuff, there were cupboards I couldn't reach as my bump got in the way, you sound like a lovely supportive husband, Mrs B is very fortunate!0 -
yes he will be all mine well the kids but you know what i mean! we are hoping the week after christmas he will be owned by us and has been taken off the market and held for us. He is well trained and broken, and the only reason he is up for sale is that all the kids there are older and he is no longer neededThanks Caz
question, are you going to fully own your pony come Christmas time? Or was it a time-share thing?
he will be kept at the same place etc. It works out 1/3 of the price of monthly lesson to own him and the instructor will carry out the lessons with the girls on top of us going daily.
What are the plans for Es christmas or is a baby sister enough
What's for you won't go past you0 -
I'd definitely recommend something where the focus of the group is on something other than socialising....ie baby massage, rhyme time, swimming....then if you see someone you like the look of you can try and make conversation...and if you don't then no harm done. I went to the carp breastfeeding group 3 times before I met my friend though so it's worth persevering. Just remember that most people are in the same boat as you xMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

It must have been a dream then. It was a boy with a very obvious......boy bit! :rotfl:If anyone else is interested in Hop n Squeak shoes they're currently £10 instead of £20 on hopnsqueak.co.uk.
Thank you SS, they are very cute shoes. I may have a pair of 6's and 7's on there way to me. I'm very sad they didn't have the black or red patent in 6 or 7.
And, i'm very  that I forgot, and missed the Masterchef final!
Don't tell me, I'm waiting for it to come onto catch-up (or whatever it's called), but I have a feeling my favorite should be the winner.:beer:0
