Thanks everyone for their camera advice!
In the end I went for http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0046BKK6S/ref=oss_product
I hope that this will be a good investment for a totally amateur photographer mum!

get well vibes for poorly babies and hope those get tt tickets that want them.
some devasting news here my school friend's 3 month old baby has just died of mennigitis, just realise how lucky I am!
Slightly worried about t's feeding as the amount of time he spends at the breast esp on the mornings has dropped off, from 15/20 mins both sides to maybe 10 mins one side. I then spend an hour trying to get him to feed more but then he just sits on the breast. Is this normal, just worried he is getting enough - still feeding every 2 to 3 hours.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Warning! WM Bringing the thread down.
Last night I had to have my beautiful 15 year old doggie Phoebe put to sleep. I am devestated.
Due to her age I have been waiting for it, but still it's hard. I really hoped to find she had gone in her sleep, but she collapsed last night and it wasn't good. Cue visit to emergency Animal Hospital. But I knew she had to go.
She's now running around with George (another of our dogs) in the big playground in the sky.
Poor Mikey is now lost, he is only 6 months younger that Phoebe but still looks and acts like a puppy. And I have to tell Joe when he gets home tonight.
But hey OH is now speaking to me. He is a total !!!!!!, but last night he was fantastic with her and me.
Hope those off out for the day have a good time, good luck with Personnel SS. Hugs for poorley babies and their mummys.
I'm off to do some work. Last day of the month and all that.0 -
I love my caffiene I must admit
I was going to BF squeak until the steroid issue came up and I don't know if I could survive without caffiene :rotfl:
Christmas is coming and I feel so unprepared
I was thinking about ordering some blank fridge magnets from ebay (you can get some quite big ones) and putting photos of the kids in them for the extended family. Does anyone think this will be ok?
And big sympathy for everyone putting up with rubbish men
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

How awful for your friend Sir M
If T is happy and alert and seems satisfied after a feed then I wouldn't worry. He'll be able to suck much faster now and feed more efficiently.

Thanks! That'll be a long shift then. Just when they think they're nearing the end, the clocks will go back and confuse them. :rotfl:sir_monster wrote: »some devasting news here my school friend's 3 month old baby has just died of mennigitis, just realise how lucky I am!

How awful for your friend.
I can't imagine how awful that must be.
Maybe your boobies are just getting more efficient, so he's getting the right amount of milk but quicker?
WM awww, poor Pheobe. It's still hard even though she was old and you were kind of expecting it some time soon.
No tickets here. All of the ticket sites are broken. Gary Barlow was on Radio 2 with Chris Evans earlier and said that they sold out in 10 seconds - is that even possible? I couldn't tell from his voice if he was joking or not.
And my silly friend was trying to get them through a local agent by phone, and got offered the Tuesday but got all flustered about it being a school night and declined! She's back in the phone queue now but we're not hopeful!:beer:0 -
Hehe, quoted this the other day... That's the only reason I ever succeeded in breastfeeding..On the plus side, the wee beastie now weighs 5.75kg, and I got lots of praise for still BFing (it's cos I'm waaaaay to lazy to even contemplate sterilising anything at 3am
) Madam is now trying to figure out how she can jam her foot in her mouth.

And as babies get bigger, they get a lot more efficient at feeding so take less time and sometimes stretch out the time between... As long as he is still happy and alert, still giving you plenty of wet nappies and you keep offering it when you think he needs it, then I wouldn't worry about the length of time he's there
((hugs)) WMA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thanks it does flow quite quick when expressing and he seems quite happy/alert, also is doing wet and dirty nappies. Trying to let him settle himself to sleep in his chair downstairs, he did drop off then woke up!!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

It's so hard to lose a pet.
delain - that's a FAB idea and I may just steal it. Do you have any particular seller you're looking at for the magnets?
sir m - what the others said. Babies get more efficient as they grow. So long as he's happy and has wet nappies, I wouldn't worry!
gill - hugs for your poorly baba

I've never been a huge caffeine person (at work, I had 1 tea in the morn and a decaf coffee or herbal tea in the afternoon) and when I have caffeinated beverages, it's because I like the taste. For a while when Finn was a few months old, I wondered if caffeine was causing his sleep problems so I did stop for a week or 2 and since it made no difference, I went back to my normal habits. AT MOST, I have 1-2 caffeinated things a day, but a lot of days I have nothing.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
