Bexta I hardly drink coffee at all these days - I sometimes have an instant coffee first thing I arrive at work but any later in the day and I end up regretting it. I stupidly made the mistake of having a strong filter coffee at lunchtime the other week. Bad move.

I've got a poorly baby today
He was sick (proper food sick for the first time) twice in the night then again this morning after his milk. Properly throwing up, not just normal baby sick
He seems ok in himself altho quiter and more subdued and he doesn't have a temp.
I'm assuming he's picked up a tummy bug so don't see much point in taking him to drs unless he gets worse but I've never had to deal with anything like this so if anyone has any experiences to share about what they've done in the same position I'd be grateful. He's just had more milk....eta the milk was puked up all over my knee...can't believe how much there was! So we've called then dr and going this morning. More concerned because it's nearly the weekend so won't have the option of taking him tomorrowMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

Ladybird, I'm one of those that caffeine doesn't really affect, that's why I (stupidly) didn't make a connection

Delain :T for Squeak sleeping through.
Gill, hope poor bubs is ok. It might just be a bit of a tummy bug. Has he eaten anything new that might have affected him?

No, everything he had yesterday he's had before and been fine with. He puts everything in his mouth tho so wouldn't be hard for him to pick something up.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

MDW, i meant to ask about you before i went to bed, but now i see the meeting's been delayed.
hope katie's spots get better, too.
How very dare you!!! No I wasn't!
Nope, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who won't watch X-Factor, American Idol, BGT, etc. etc.
Me too - and Take That wouldn't be my thing either
Right, we have found what appears to be a loophole in the law that allows my contract as a third-party-funded collaborative researcher to be extended for a quarter of its length in order to pursue parental leave for that time. But we have to convince the personnel department. Wish me luck...
Me to! I also hate Big Brother, I'm glad it's finished as I get sick to death of people talking about it non stop.
Sugar very best of luck
I don't drink much coffee but lots of tea. I had 1 coffee while pregnant and was up all night. Stopped drinking tea during pg though.
Well done for sleeping through Squeak :T
Gentle hugs for poorly Thomas and Thalie. Sooooooooooo much goingaround at the moment.
I'm going out soon to take my sis to pick up her new car. Need to try and get a shower though and hubby is in bed but baby is awake. Hmmmm.0 -

Simple solution - plop baby in bed with husband. Husband will no longer be asleep
.
After many days of 2 hrs napping in the morning, we just had a 30 minute one. Either he was feeling bad and is now better or it's just random. Confused.com
I rang the tax credits people last week with a question and they've sent through a revised statement even though I didn't actually change any details with them. And it's the same payments as before! Weird. I can't change my income level and childcare thingee until my new job actually starts.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Gill in my experience milk tends to come up again with sicky babies, but I think if you are BF and it is a comfort thing then sometimes you just have to cope with being puked on
(plus if youa re BF then the milk that does stay down is probably doing some kind of immune boosting stuff). Make sure you have lots of towels on hand and don't wear anything dry clean only
Other than that I think it is similar to grown ups really - lots of fluids and eat if you can manage it, but don't worry if you don't fancy anything.
Anyway, we must go to the farm
I hope all the poorly ones are feeling better soon!

5 minutes before the Ticketmaster site breaks! :rotfl:
I've just realised the clocks go back Sat/Sun this week. OH is on a 5pm-3am shift. How will that work? Will he work til the new 3am therefore doing another hour? Confused.com
ETA: I lied, ticketmaster has broken already! Noooooooo!
Our OHs must be on the same shift pattern as mine is too. They've been told they have to work the extra hour, but night's (9-7) can start an hour later so they don't have to work extra.Nope, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who won't watch X-Factor, American Idol, BGT, etc. etc.
I don't watch them either- but I do get a running commentary on my FB feed and from MIL!
Hugs for T, Gill. I hope it is just a bug.
Yippee for sleeping through, Delain.
Bexta- I'm a bit of a coffee fiend (can't think why) but I switched to decaf (and decaf tea at home) when H was exclusively BF, but I'm back on the good stuff now he's down to 1 or 2 BFs a day and it doesn't seem to affect him.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator
