  • I have just realised something quite amazing - I'm the only Sarah on this thread! (That I know of!) Because Sarah is such a common name there's always been other Sarahs; school, work, my own group of friends etc but on this thread I think I'm the only one! This really is amazing lol

(Obviously about 4 people are going to come on tomorrow and tell me their name is Sarah and ruin it but for tonight I'm the only one so I'm happy!!)

Right, must must must go to bed now!

  • Bah.. I hate Insomnia... everyone in the house is asleep but me! I've been up since 12! Boo!

    Anyway, quick question.

I am looking at upgrading my camera as I don't think it takes very good "close up" pictures after seeing some of the ones that you guys have posted! When I zoom in, everything starts going really grainy and I can see that most on here don't!

What cameras do you all use? And, if anyone knows, what is it I should be looking for on camera specifications for the better quality close up picture? Is it the (1,2,3 etc)x optical zoom?

Sorry everyone is having a !!!!py day, and I hope that tomorrow is better for you all.

I have to go to the doctors at 7am (of all times!) to pick up more meds for me, and then back again at 9 for Kai to see the baby doc as I think he may have a little eczema on his cheeks. :( Been using E45 on it and it's not really doing much.

what's your budget for the camera?

My DS1 had excema on his cheek which sometimes cleared with diprobase cream, but if we didn't hydrate it enough, quickly enough IYSWIM, sometimes we needed fucidin to help it heal.

  • TNV I can't find our camera and we are off to the farm today :( If I find it I will let you know what we have!

I need to find the camera, pack the changing bag (possibly the camera has been in there all along, make a packed lunch for us both, find a halloween costume for tonight, hang the washing out and put some more on, and (if I have time for it) 1001 other things to do before we go out ... I might even have some breakfast. Luck we don't need to leave until 9:45 really ;) Now if only I can persuade this child she wants breakfast not milk.

    Morning.

TNV - eek at the insomnia, hope you can get a nap at some point today. The better the optical zoom the better the close ups will be, digital zoom is what tends to make it go more blurry with camera's from my experiance. We got a lovely camera with 15x optical zoom but its v bulky cos of the big lense. I love it tho it takes great pics. I want a littlie for my handbag now tho as my phone camera is pants.

Deffo going to the docs with T today, but really felt awful for OH this morning, he is full of cold and was really sick through the night. he was worried about T getting something so went and slept on the sofa bless him. He really isnt well and shouldnt be going in this morning, but as his boss is on hols he has no one he can phone :( Have told him when he gets to work he needs to tell the stand in boss, he really shouldnt be there as its all food based. T's cough is worse so hope Docs have a slot for us.

  • I'm being told off for not having any socks on. She has run off to find me some, but I don't think she knows where my socks are. This may take a while!

Beccles i was thinking about you the other night, how are the new trainers? i am very impressed at the boot camp you have done great! wish i had the motivation?

They are brilliant trainers! I was getting aches in my knees and a little bit in my hips with the other trainers on, but the new ones have stopped that. Feel so much better in them.

It's like a drug once you get into it. It's an effort to go sometimes, but you get amazing high off it and desperately want to go back if that makes sense.
What cameras do you all use?

Panasonic Lumix - I love it!

It's got an intelligent auto setting, so I keep it on that usually. When you want to take a picture, you hold the button for a second before snapping to focus it and it changes all the settings to suit the picture depending on the light conditions, colours, indoors, outdoors etc.

The multi burst is brilliant with children. You just hold the button down and it keeps snapping until you release the button. Took some good snaps of things like James doing stunt dives into the swimming pool on holiday.

Hope you get a nap today and catch up on sleep. I get insomnia and I hate it!

    Enjoy the farm ladybird xx

Hope T gets on ok at the doctors xx

Off to Newcastle with the boys this morning. We're puting on hard hats and going to explore an old waggonway tunnel that is underneath Newcastle city centre. Not many people know it is there!

TNV :(for your insomnia. There was some discussion of cameras the day before yesterday after Becles posted a gorgeous pic of her three on a day out. Becles pics are always great so i'd go with what she has. I'll have a search and see if I can find it.

ETA: And then Becles apppears! :p

MDW It's just occurred to me - V had a funny spotty rash a while ago that we thought was chicken pox. We eventually went to the docs and it was, as always, a virus which went away on its own.
Then, last week, L had a similar rash, mostly at the back of her neck which then spread down her shoulders. I was going to take her to the docs on the Monday if it was still there/got worse, but it disappeared.

Rmac I'm up and on the ticketmaster site. I wasn't a TT fan in the old days but always loved Robbie. I've seen Robbie a few times, but think seeing him with TT is a one off chance. And OH will let me use his card to pay and i might give it back next week.

Oh no - the Puzzler is on Numberjacks this morning, he really disturbs me.
