Hi MM, she's been on for 72hrs, and still can't breathe on her own. Do you think that's too long?

I honestly dont know .. Dylan started responding after 36 hours, but wasnt breathing on his own till he was 5 days old and even then stayed on O2 till he was 11 days old
It really is amazing the things they can do these days. CP wa our diagnosis too, but we are slowly but surely getting to the point where the specialists are really happy with him and think that there may not be any major lasting damage.
Tell them to stay positive, its all you can do xx

Apart from that .. how are you and the kids ??

  • I'm fine.

Been off work for a month now, the nightmare should hopefully be over by tomorrow afternoon though.

I'm waiting for morning to see if Katie's spots have developed into anything.

Katie was very funny earlier, I've had a pj day today and I needed some paperwork picking up for my parents so asked DH to do it, Katie didn't want Daddy to go as he's dead soft with her at bedtime so I said, "I can't go I'm in my PJ's" so she replied "get changed then!"

Mel - she's quiet she just like to stroke his elbow until she goes to sleep. She loves to stroke skin when she's tired or upset, it's how I know she's tired or upset.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

    Evening all..

tara, lots of recovery vibes for Lily xx

Rhys had cooling to his head, rather than whole body. Honestly couldn't tell you how long for (:o). He was on a ventilator until Day 4 then CPAP until Day 6 and then back on the ventilator until Day 11. He didn't pull himself round until Day 10ish but point is, he did - and so could Lily xx

To echo MM, stay positive xx

Hope everyone else is okay :)

Tara, you can't really tell with babies, some just need more time than others. I'll be sending her all the spare vibes I have!

    How about...

*wake up and get wriggling little lily!*
