jillie i always do everything the night before otherwise i forget something ... why is it so easy to sort the kids then it is yourself and you have less stuff :D x

I always pack last minute. When we went to Turkey this year, we left on the Sunday afternoon and I packed on the Sunday morning :o

I normally think through a typical day on holiday and then pack what I'm wearing or using at each point. Then I repeat with the children. Sounds anal, but I rarely forget things ;)

    Get well baby Lily xx

That's an awful story Tara and can't imagine what they must be feeling.

We've been doing a good job talking to E about baby sister in mama's tummy, and acquiring some 'new baby in the house' books etc. That was all a bit confused this morning when a friend with a 2 month old visited and somehow E became convinced the baby WAS baby sister, who then left with the friend!
(the baby was a boy, too)

    Awww that's really cute :)

Charlotte's best friend at nursery has a new baby brother and the girl likes to show him off. We all had to stroke his head for some reason the other day! Charlotte keeps asking "can we buy a Zak for our house?" :rotfl:

We are think of getting the boys a spongebob aquarium, and filling it with fish for christmas, good idea/bad idea?

It depends what fish you are going to put in it. That tank is too small for goldfish, comets and similar popular fish. I would look at normal bigger tanks rather than the themed children's tanks, as you'll have more choice of fish to put in them.

We had a bigger cold water tank when the boys were younger but they quickly lost interest. Fish are not really that interesting for little ones as you can't cuddle them or stroke them or interact with them. I liked watching them though and it is relaxing seeing them swim about.

You need to do a part change of water every week and either buy chemicals to take the chlorine out of tap water or remember to leave it to stand overnight before doing the water change. We had a problem with feeding as the boys didn't understand "just a couple of flakes" and would chuck a half the tub of food in.

Sorry if that all sounds a bit negative, but I'd hate to see them get a tank set up and the fish to die quickly.

It's showing those for Manchester too on the reserved seating. The pitch standing and lower tier (general admission) is just the £55 plus £5 booking fee.

I think it's shocking how much they get away with charging for tickets now.

James wanted to go as they're coming to Sunderland. I said maybe but then said no when I saw the ticket prices :o
Here I go again on my own....

Seems daft but thought I'd ask, just that it always worked in the past.

DD1 just rang, her OH's cousin after many many miscarriages and several years of trying got to 36wks and 4 days ago was induced. But bubba has been starved of oxygen during birth and had 3 days of the reduced body temp treatment but she hasn't responded. They don't think she will make it and if she does will have cerebal palsy.

  • To get Katie to sleep tonight I sent DH to my parents to pick up some paperwork that my dad had printed out for me (no ink in mine) for tomorrow.

3 books a bit of a chat, 5 minutes at the top of the stairs and she's asleep, Daddy does it, 2 hours is a good night

    Hello MM.

I think the last concert I went to was The Coors in 2004/5 at the MEN. Ran out of money after that.

The last concert I went to was the Cherry Poppin' Daddies the night before I got engaged. And I was about four weeks pregnant but didn't know it (the engagement came before the peeing on the stick :p). It was about an hour out of the city and was a dreadful pain in the butt to get to, even worse to get back from, but the show was incredible. I would go see them again in a heartbeat.

(I would have to have no heartbeat at all to be caught at a TT show )

I would so love to go and see Take That, can't afford the tickets though:(

The last concert we went to was Jean Michel Jarre earlier this month (9th) those tickets cost us £90 each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although well worth it as we were virtually at the front AND Jean michel slapped hands with dh when he walked past:D:D

MDW, your dh must have some patience, I think after 2 mins of any of our kids not going to sleep, or at least lying quietly he would be yelling his head off!

Hi MM, she's been on for 72hrs, and still can't breathe on her own. Do you think that's too long?
Too many children, too little time!!!

Take That is more than a concert, it's an amazing show. I'm just thinking that it's not very MSE though is it?
