Glad to hear your okay Michelle.
Yeah I was surprised to see people b1tching about the parents thread over in the arms, as I always find it nice here? Each to their own.
I used to carry snacks around when Keira was younger but don't now, it actually really bothers me that people carry food around with them when going out when they dont need too ( not meaning people with kids) the likes of Keira's gran, she can't go anywhere without a stash of food, it's right annoying, serial snacker. She is a right weirdo when it comes to food.
Keira is a terrible eater as it is, but she will sit across from her saying "Eat that first, don't eat like that, etc etc" and I'm sitting there  and eventually I just tell her to shut up and let her eat it as she wants. She's constantly trying to throw food down her neck too "Oh have a banana" "Want some sweets - obviously that gets a yes!" "Oh just starve her out, then 20 minutes later, oh she is hungry get her some lunch"
  :mad:0 -

Izzy loves washing her hands too. And ever time she goes to wash her hands then she wants to brush her teeth too...
Aw does she brush them properly or just suck the toothpaste off the toothbrush like a little boy I won't name
Buttons - SIL is a bit like that, she is lovely but she used to cram the boys full of snacks (often fruit) and then cause a big fuss when they wouldn't eat their dinner...
Youngest nephew is still subjected to tough mealtimes because he doesn't like potatoes...now I can appreciate that it is a strange thing not to like (he won't eat any kind of potatoes if he can help it) but they still insist on giving him some and making him eat themIt wouldn't happen if he didn't like cabbage, why should potatoes be any different?
please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I think my son may be a mind reader. We've had a sore few days of BFing with biting- not nipping like he's done before but properly dragging his teeth along my nips . I've been umming and erring about whether this might signal time to give up, but tonight he fed with no biting, giving me his most heartmelting look. I swear he knew that I was thinking of stopping!
Sorry, I just had to share that with you folks as all my RL friends would think I am nuts (which I am, but not for this reason).:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
I used to carry snacks when Charlotte was younger, and a spare nappy, wipes etc., but I don't now. I take a cereal bar with me at that time of the month as sometimes I feel a bit wobbly and feel I need a snack.
Never really encouraged snacks as I'd rather they ate meals. SIL does it different and fills their daughter up with snacks, but then she leaves most of her meal. Both girls are healthy though so they must be getting all they need from either method.
Maybe there's a rule that as the age of your toddler increases, the size of your handbag decreases
When I was employed when the boys were little, I worked in a small IT company. They were trying to repair a huge printer and couldn't get some lasers or something lined up and one of the young lads came through and asked if I had a little make up mirror they could borrow. I had a rummage in my bag and said no, but I did have a quad bike or Thunderbird 4 if they were of use. He just kind of looked at me strangely and said "err no thanks" :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -
Lol Gisi... I think they must be tuned into us a little... I'm finding BF very uncomfortable at the minute, no nipping or anything, I'm putting it down to the pregnancy... But if we have a particularly prolific day where I'm very uncomfortable and think about stopping, she gives me a day off the next day and doesn't ask for it at all lol...
And Buttons, Keira's gran sounds like my Nan... She'd spend a whole day telling me how fat I was... Then try and cram 3 different types of cake into me at tea time...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Im now laughing my head off thinking about Keira's gran.
"Im so hungrrrrry *pats belly*"
"Ian what you want for tea? - I don't know - AHHHHHHH *CRY* I'm so hungry, where are my snacks, WAHHHHHH I've eaten them all *SCREAM*"
"Did you spray air freshner? - Yes? AHHHHHH *COUGH COUGH SPLUTTER I CANNOT BREATHE, AHHHHHHH BLAH COUGH COUGH"
Oh and I can't eat out in a restaurant with her as she complains about everything "WAHHHHH ITS SO SALTY, SO DRY etc etc"
Thing is, she chucks about half a pot of salt into her food even though she ain't meant too as her husband has had 2 strokes and has high BP, and has the cheek to complain about anyone elses food being salty? I kicked her out my kitchen at xmas when I saw her basting my tatties in copious amounts of salt. I was  GET OUTTTTTTT
I wish you could hear my impression of her exclaiming "It's so salty!" Im dead funny :rotfl:0 -
Oh yeah and I blame her for Keira's dislike off water, as she gave her a bottle of water she had been drinking from and Keira saw floaters in it and threw it away in disgust - Good lass0
