Yes. I was comparing my pre-baby handbag and my current one just yesterday - the current one could fit about seven of the old one in it :rotfl:

My bag has a pack with two disposable nappies, a mini pack of wipes, hand sanitiser in case one of us gets poop on an extremity during a change, a binkie, a spoon, a jar of food and a ricecake. I also carry fresh fruit but that changes every day.

Which reminds me. I changed Benjamin's nappy today, it was just a wee. I wiped him and then wiped my hands with a separate wipe which I tucked inside the folded nappy...

Nephew was stood by wanting to help so I asked him if he would pop the nappy in the bin for me. He happily obliged but SIL followed him and made him wash his hands.

Now am I a bit of a minger or was she being overly concerned? It wasn't in a nappy bag, I only use bags for dirty ones, but it was wrapped up tightly and fastened with the tags?

Your not a minger, i often wipe poo off with a baby wipe until i can be bothered to wash my hands properly :o

Edit- i say often, but it is very rare i get poo on my hands, i use 1 wipe per bum wipe lol.

MFD, I wouldn't have bothered, not a wet one already folded.

can someone give me a sniper website please x
    :)Still searching .....:)
  • Michelle how scary. I'm glad no-one was hurt, but you must be still shaking :( Take care of you!

MDF you're not a minger. Although at the same time your own childs germs are different from your child picking up someone else's iyswim. I know I'm not as paranoid about these things as some people are. My mother won't touch Izzy when she gets here until she has washed her hands. Meanwhile Izzy is eating food she has picked up off the floor or trying to put her shoes in her mouth.

I think she's being a bit overcautious. The outside of a wet nappy is hardly a germ factory.

    SM I like auctionstealer.com and bidnapper.com.

LOL - I love it when you call me MDF ;)

I guess it kind of shocked me more because we are family if that makes any sense? Not that it makes Benjamin nappies smell any sweeter but I have had her kids puke and !!!! on me and have just laughed and loved it because they are my family!

If I had given it to him for him to wrap up or open then it would be different.

So glad it wasn't a poopy one!!!

Yup definitely overcautious MFD - but perhaps she's trying to drum good hygiene into her son, ie you touch a nappy/anything to do with toilet you wash your hands. I would probably make T wash his hands for things I wouldn't bother with.

Great big *hugs* for Michelle. You must be feel so shaken. Give A a great big hug from me x
