I got light ash blonde but it's a bit toooooooo light i think, i've been gradually trying to go slightly darker-than-bimbo-blonde as that's my natural colour

It's a shame that those who get unwanted colours wouldn't be allowed to do a fairy exchange type thing to swap for other peoples unwanted colours! ;)

I've got light golden brown which looks lighter than it did on the website as well. I only need it to cover my greys! Shouldn't make *that* much difference to my actual hair colour I think.

Hi Mel  :D I so should have got a bottle in tonight lol. Only alcohol i have in the house is a bottle of champagne that's been sat in my fridge for nearly 2 years.

One day i'll have reason to celebrate and drink it LOL.

This is our hose have had a bottle of Moet in the fridge for 3.5 years! Meant to drink it when T was born and then my mum bought us another bottle!

Lily had a terrible night and was awake between 10 and 11pm constantly crying. And she wouldn't sleep properly all night.

Its not her fault though, she's teething so she has a cold and her nose is very blocked :(

Waiting on news from em :D

Aww poor L, T had a snotty nose while she was cutting her top two teeth too, its not nice for them. Hope they come thru soon x

Em - whats with the keeping us waiting?

Morning, what an eventfull evening we had! Elliot's rash got worse and I couldn't get a doctors appointment so we took him to hospital. His rash baffled most of the doctors, first they thought chicken pox but then realised it wasn't on his back or chest so would be highly unlikely. Then they all came in amazed, thinking it was vasculitis and a rare case. Scared us both, when they said it could be serious then told us we'd were being referred upstairs to the childrens unit so more doctors could look at him better. After god knows how many people poked and prodded him, tried to get a urine sample which went wrong and he ended up weeing over the bed! He was really good though, opened his mouth when asked, held out his thumb to put the thing on it to check his pulse etc. He smiled at everyone, it was only in the last 2 hours that he was so exhausted he went to sleep on the bed (naked as we were trying to get a urine sample!). Eventually we got the result that it is infact a viral infection, which has caused his bad throat and so he didn't want to eat or sleep etc. So we simply need to give him calpol and nurofen. 8 hours later we were told we could go home :)

So far he's slept in the car on the way home, and in bed since we got back. So fingers crossed he's on the mend now.

    Keely.x

What a night! Hope the sleep does K some good and he picks up soon.

Aless - Boo at another early morning for you :(

Well OH got up with T this morning so I got an extra hour woohoo ( except he gets about 4 on his lie ins!) He at least fed her this time so we are getting there. I just wish he wouldnt talk to her like he does the dog!

Am after some opinions, will be discussing new shifts with manager on wednesday when I have my first KIT day. I was going to ask to do 4pm till 8pm on a mon and wed as OH gets home around about 3.30 and its only a 5 minute drive to work. Now best friend has said she will happily come over after work (she works at Mothercare too) when she finnishes at 2.30 and look after T till OH gets home so I can work a 3pm till 7pm then will be home for to feed T and put her to bed, instead of having to express or give her formula. This way OH only has to feed her and get her ready for bed. Thoughts please?

Using your friend for cover and having the earlier slot makes a lot of sense to me, Som :) but I don't know your whole situation.

We've had at least half a dozen bottles of champagne lying around for years... had a couple left over from wedding reception, then I went through a period at work where I kept being given them for random achievements or thankyous, and as OH has been pregnant or BF for more than 3 years, and as I am not much bothered about champagne either way, it's been a real struggle to use it up :o I think we maybe have 8 bottles, mostly in a little mini-wine rack in a disused fireplace :p

What a dramatic night, Keely! What a relief that it's minor after all :) hope Elliot recovers soon :)

Another one that makes me chuckle is 'Unsheathed'

Infact i just googled it and the meaning is completly different :rotfl:

Surely it means what it says! "Not in a sheath", or "remove (as if) from a sheath".

Fingers crossed for your pee, Em. But, there will be other pees!

Mel, you are very sweet when drunk :p (ETA and of course at all other times :p) hope you are not regretting it too much this morning.

Elijah has had a sudden re-engagement with his soothing seahorse! After it has been neglected for at least a year (and even when he had it first time round he was never much bothered about it), he suddenly retrieved it and the last 3 nights he has lain in bed pressing and re-pressing the tummy for 45 mins+ before dropping off  and yesterday's nap was actually "listening to sea-horse time" instead. Very mysterious.

I woke from deep dark sleep this morning at 7.40ish to hear the seahorse music... OH was just getting up thinking she could get me a lie-in, but that never ever works and anyway she needs the sleep more than me so I sent her back to bed and she is still sleeping now :p meanwhile we have been to the farmer's market (almond croissants, a pork belly and a big pumpkin to try carving and pumpkin pie-making) and the library!

I think it would be lovely to have a friend to rely on and be able to do bedtime... But... It gets a bit wearing having to rely on people IME... Eg, Aimee gets picked up for school every day by my friend and I in turn walk her daughter home... Now my friend is late, every single day she makes Aimee late for school... And sometimes, like when it's raining, or when I'm feeling rough or when Caitlyn's still napping I know 3 other parents at the school I could ask to grab Aimee for me to save me going out but I can't because I have to fetch this other girl... I can't see a way to get out of the arrangement either at the moment so I'm finding it all a bit wearing and wishing it was back to just doing it all myself... So in your position, I would probably forgoe the bedtime for the working days and just keep willing people as emergency cover, say if OH gets stuck in traffic, or has to work over etc...

I have a bottle of champagne I was given at work once... I haven't worked for that company in 8 years... It's probably fizzy vinegar anyway lol... We also have a couple of bottles we were given as a wedding present and one I got for my 30th birthday... But as I was pregnant, then breastfeeding and now pregnant and breastfeeding... It's going to be a while before they're thought about...

And I got a hair dye through this morning... And so did my "spare" fb account... My hair is so long I have to use 2 lol... Glad they're the same colour!!

Hubby's just gone off to meet his sister at the station, he very nicely tidied everything up while I was on my driving lesson and is stopping off on the way back to pick up frozen pizzas because we need to feed them since MIL isn't taking them out for the birthday meal she promised...

And my girls are playing really nicely together, Caitlyn is in hysterics at Aimee... It's ridiculously cute, makes my heart grow just to watch them... :happyhear
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

    som- would agree with Krystal.

you need to think of what would happen if your friend couldnt have T

its nice to have someone who is there in an emergency but i wouldnt like to be depending on that one person to be there all the time.

    Hello everyone

    Has em been on yet??

Well K decided to wake up about a million times last night and then T was up at 5.45 (as usual) so I haven't had a great deal of sleep, but thankfully I feel fine:) I think we will be off to the shops as ds2 wants to go and spend his birthday money, he got £85!!!

I think my posts were a bit odd last night, I didn't drink much, honest;)

    Mel x
