Caz, if you're still lurking, I have a personal little girl question to ask by pm. XXXToo many children, too little time!!!0
-
Afternoon everyone. I've caught up with everything - no suggestions on clocks or hair I'm afraid. My mum has rsi from fiddlking with hers, so trying to get him to stop is probably not a bad plan. Cutting it would definitely be one solution, but I'm definitely with the long hair on little boys is cure crowd though. I would be much more scared of cutting hair (the scisors in the vacinity of small wrigging ears/eyes) than of offending someones fashion sensibilities (little boys having short hair is just as much a fashion as it being long)!
I also have to concur that you lot are my support network and I don't know how I would have survived without youIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Tigs, I do hope you're kidding. Given your sense of humor, I'm fairly confident you are!
Mini-poll...if you were a stick-in-the-mud meat-and-two-veg family that did not possess much imagination in the kitchen - would bacon in your lasagne instead of mince be too revolutionary?

Oh and Bruno a) your poor wife. How maby weeks is she now? And b) you can find silent pathe news footage of trains on you tube which are fab for doing your own sound effects to.. Of course there is nothing to stop you turning the speakers off with any other videos and doing this. With E I mean.

I'll admit that I feel this thread is a bit cliquey and that it's hard for "newbies" to enter when you all seem like you know each other really well.
Things can get a little... how should I put it?? "Heated" at times which I think (and know) have put people off from posting. But when it comes to parenting we all have our own ways and opinions that can be very strong I guess;)
I didn't think I'd be posting in here TBH but I guess you've all been ok I s'pose:p:p:p I'm a bit known for speaking my mind and having my opinions so you lot don't bother me at all!!;);):D:p
It is very helpful to have somewhere to go with new mummy questions:) Even though I'm not actually a new mummy:oBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Sounds yummy Aless, but I have no food imagination. My lasagne sauce comes from a jar!Too many children, too little time!!!0

That's the point though Smartie, we all have questions and I for one am not embarrassed to ask. Even after having 6! Even us long term posters get ignored sometimes quite by accident, I had a right strop recently, then crawled back in with egg on my face, lol!Too many children, too little time!!!0

I understand how it could come over as intimidating because everyone knows each other, but I think we are welcoming of new people when they are brave enough to post. Not much we can do about that I suppose (except continue to be friendly to new faces!). It is just the same as being brave enough to go to a new toddler group or something really. You just have to launch in and stick your nose in
I don't always keep up, you just have to jump in when you arrive I think, and join in with the current convo.
As for getting heated, I am sometimes like the little kid poking my head through the banisters waiting for mum and dad to stop arguing. I've seen worse thoughI think sometimes it is difficult sometimes to communicate that you do things differently to someone without it sounding like you think they are doing it wrong. The perils of written communication and all that.
And Aless, I'm veggie, so not much help to you!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009
