Definitely Susan, and if I'm not the only non-Scot they can't force feed me haggis ;)

BM Dusseldorf is cheap because nobody wants to go there.

Oh, Tia you reminded me. How long should I wait on a council tax refund before getting stroppy? We moved in August, they promised to send a form. No form. Chased over the phone and finally got form through maybe a month ago. Sent off, got our documents back at least 2 (prolly more like 3) wks ago now, still no refund in the bank. Should I phone and moan?

eta: thanks for the reminder about trains, too. I need to sort out DH's day trip to Mancs in December to oogle at airplanes.

Are non-Scottish builders allowed to come to the Edinburgh Builders Conference? Train fares look quite reasonable.

I have a dilemma. On Friday I booked and paid for an aquababies 10 week course for T. It was on a Tuesday when I really wanted a Monday (for when I go back to work). They annoyed me coz they have a silly policy where if you want to change days you have to give up your place and go back on the list for the day you want.

I've just found out that the local leisure centre are starting Swim & Song...typically on a Tuesday. Now I want to cancel aquababies and go to that one as it will be much cheaper.

This is what the aquababues website says about cancelling

Cancellation of whole courses will only be accepted in writing more than 10 days in advance of your course start date. A £20.00 admin charge will be applied to your refund.

I'm just wondering if because the 7 days grace period applies because I paid over the phone. I don't think the money has come off my card yet.

    Any suggestions/ideas/advice?

My Molton Brown stuff just arrived! Very chuffed :)

Berlin, Munich and Heidelberg are all very nice. I have heard good things about Cologne but never been there, everywhere that used to be East Germany is not yet fit for visitors (all the tax money specifically allocated towards sprucing it up has mysteriously vanished) and everywhere else take with a large pinch of salt, the closer to Belgium the less likely you are to want to go there.

Why would you not want haggis? (Unless you were a vegetarian which I don't think you are any more.)

I could pretend I'm Scottish - does 1/8th count? My great great grandfather was a banker in Edinburgh.

ss - not monkey biz - a bit yucky, expensive and they don't let you eat your own food!, though much more central than ratho (you would need a car for that one). we like this one best of all - http://www.edinburghleisure.co.uk/list-624

much more mse, suitable for our age-range of babies, not sure how easy for people to get to though?

Thats the soft play options - not sure what else to suggest? Oh actually there is I think soft play at ocean terminal shopping centre, But I've never been. easy to get to on public transport or further afield..... http://www.mollysplaycentre.net/80510/info.php?p=2
