Lucky timing actually b/c I feel like death warmed over...top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

You're sick anyway Aless, you should be staying off! You don't want to burn yourself out before Saturday! Hope Finn is improved some more
Woohoo, final Amazon package arrived just now. That's about 10 in the last month, been very impressed with them... I understand not everyone has been as lucky, I guess really it's more down to the courier services/RM than to the company usually. Now today to shop for some stocking-fillers if possible, then lots of wrapping left to do...
Little C is being a naughty nocturnal baby, but last night improved vs the previous two because we swaddled... yay for swaddling! I am tired but not exhausted. This is good.0 -

I am a huge swaddling advocate, so yay!
DH is fuming b/c it looks like my Christmas present from Amazon won't arrive on time...he paid for expedited shipping and they sent it regular RM 1st Class...:mad:top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

That's weird, Aless
I always go supersaver, and I just had one package arrive that I ordered on Saturday... nothing has been more than a week's delivery. Partly inner-London-advantage I guess... but still. Bad luck!

I am very pro-swaddling too
That delivery thing happened with something I ordered, I complained and the company said they'd refund my shipping.
It's very quiet here, I suppose we're all doing the last bits? Hope it's going well for everyone.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hope all the little 'uns (and the big 'uns too) continue to improve for the big day on Saturday!
Thank you all for the lovely Christmas Wishes. I hope everyone has a fabulous time - even if some presents are still in transit
I must say I am most impressed with Jessops. I ordered a camera yesterday afternoon (a replacement for our broken one, not a gift so I wasn't fussed about delivery) I got a despatch email just before 9 this morning and the tracking info shows it's been left at a neighbours house before 9:30 this morning!0 -

Just wanted to ask....how did you cut out the colief. Did you reduce the amount of drops in each feed, or did you start to give some feeds without it in?
Mel,
I didn't reduce the drops, we were cut off by the doctor, when I asked for the prescription to be re-newed. So I just cut it dead to see how it went and he was fine. (Then i found the extras I had stashed in the cupboard, that I past on to you.)
On the other hand SIL cut down from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 etc, she did 3 for a week, then 2 for a week and so on. I'd try that and see how T gets on, but if she seems ok, cut down more quickly IYSWIM.0 -
Hope eveyone has a lovely christmas and fingers crossed that items turn up!! we have been very lucky and everything has turned up even orders that i didnt expect to recieve before christmas!!
Im hopefully off to get all the little things i dont have milk/bread etc and then i am officially finished, the last of the wrapping was one last night and i have become an expert mega wrapper PMSL!
Oh i also have to get the turkey and goose cannot forget themWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
CAFC - Glad to hear it seems to work for L, hope it continues to do so. I just wing it for the most part, seems to work!
Mel - we were Infacol rather than colief, I just cut it out completely one day when we ran out. We were lucky and D was fine. As for the 6 month milestone - it's scary! We're in our last week now of being under 6 months
Swaddling - we love swaddling. D is almost 6 months and outgrew his blanket weeks ago. However, he still has his arms trapped at night (he's a danger to himself!). Bit of a confusing contraption as we lay him in his sleeping bag on a halved cot sheet then trap his arms by looping the sheet over his arms then under his back on each side. Bit like a straight jacket but it works! Weaning him off this is proving tricky though!
and because I'll forget later - I hope you all have a lovely Christmas :xmassmile and New Year _party_0 -
All my 3 were swaddled. Swaddled from SCBU, they tend to swaddled all their babies tighter than most parents would and then they put a cover over the top of the cots squashing them in more. Top covers are colour co-ordinated! Pinks and lilacs for girls, blues and greens for boys.0
