its sort of depresses me that you wrote the list on your iphone and not on a piece of paper, guess im just oldfashioned. im surprised how many people dont take lists, must not be skint
i alway use a list or at least have an idea of what im going to buy, its been one of those old habits that hasNTdied hard
It's actually easier.
and in these times, MUCH more environmentally friendly!I press the item on my phone and it disappears from my list, leaving behind just those items I still need.
ooh that sounds great, whats the app called? i admit i have a little jotter that i use, but by the time i have tried to use it all, then cross items off, i cant understand it!Please be nice to all moneysavers!

I love my shopping list app on my blackberry, my husband can even add things he remembers from his phone.
I never go anywhere without my phone but when I write lists I would leave home without them so phone list works for meTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Except when you press it accidentally, it disappears, and you can't remember what it was!
when I cross mine off and moves to bottom of list until you are finsihed then you can " delete all crossed off items " if you cross it off by mistake you can move it back lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
...ooh that sounds great, whats the app called?

When I do a list - which isnt as often as I should - I write it all in pencil then rub out as I buy it! That way you know what you have still to get! Also it can be reused with the odd bits you didnt buy already on!0

The app I use is just called 'ShoppingList'. It's free although there is a version you can pay for, which must have more bits and bobs on it, but the free one is fine for me. I got it from the Apple apps store:)0 -
... and for the first time, I came away with exactly what was on the list. Apart from the cakes and two bars of chocolate that fell into the basket, but hey it's better than I usually am
I did look like a massive geek though, as my shopping list was on the iPhone but it was a free app, so it's okay
I tried "Voice Shopping List" and it has the advantage of using your voice to write the lists. Very cool!0 -
it is sad but i am liking the idea of the shopping list app, i don't have a smart phone but have access to an i touch so think i may have to add it onto that:)
I always take a shopping list now and find my shopping is much quicker and cheaper but fiddling with a pen and piece of paper can be a bit of a hassle if i'm not wearing jeans.
Don't care if i look a geek - it has saved us a fortune:)0 -
I almost always take a shopping list with me. Tbh I feel lost when I don't have one. I am surprised that some people have said they feel embarrassed taking a pen and crossing things off this list, isn't that the whole point?
Just purchased an android 'phone so may take a look at the shopping list apps as I'm less likely to leave my mobile at home than my paper list.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I always take a list, plus I add the cost up on my iPhone as I go round to ensure I don't go over budgetThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson
