  • Ello everyone, hope you are all well. I've got a huge batch of pumpkin soup on the go and seeds roasting in the over at the moment after hollowing out a pumpkin to make a lantern. The aussie had nver had one before so I'm kind of excited.

Also been in to town this morning and got a lovely rusty red long-sleeved jersey maxi dress in topshop for £5, then hit Oxfam and got a pair of grey skinnies, a men's modish/ indie kind of V neck cardigan which I love and a vintage Star Wars t shirt. All for £11. Oh and two bras in M&S for £4 (I had a £12 voucher left from that £50 I won) And I lucked out with No7 vouchers by using the tills on either side of Boots *feels smug*

Me today (I'm working this evening):
Cream Lace shirt (Laura Ashley via Oxfam)
    over a white camisole (Uniqlo)
Grey pinstriped wide leg trousers (Fat Face)
Grey and White striped V neck cardigan (Holister)
Necklace made from glass beads and pink shells (some hippy shop somewhere)

Hope you are all okay. Sorry to hear you've been ill Sharon x

ooh i had such a successful lunchtimE!!

i went to do a mystery shop, so ok that was a spend, but i get the money refunded when the item arrives with them tomoro. so that cancels out!
and then i went to boots..friend paid for sandwiches, and i got his points, and his no7 voucher ( :) ) and then purchased eyelash glue / cotton buds etc with my points..
and then went to new look and took back a jumpsiut i'd purchased and forgotten about last payday..i figured if it had been in the bag one month, i'l never wear it..

Ooh I hadn't thought to save the seeds and I LOVE pumpkin seeds! What do you do with them?

I was looking at some maxis in there today for £10, they were short sleeved and plain jersey which I thought could be worn in winter - what are people's opinions on maxis in winter? Do you just wear them with flat boots? (I couldn't wear heels because at my height they'd make the dress look too short).

I wear them in winter with my horrid fake uggs (lured by warmth) or flats. Would wear with nice flat boots if I had them, mostly, when I wear them out, I wear them with my cowboy-esque cuban heel boots.

I just tossed them in a little cayenne pepper and put them in the roasting tray until they went golden and crunchy. They were quite wet so it took about 20 minutes at 180C

I got this maxi for winter wear, it is a lovely autumnal red, I might belt it round the middle or layer it up and will be wearing it with boots, probably with flat boots/ cowboy boots most of the time because I'm a flat boots kind of girl (despite being 5'4)

  • Hmm, thanks ladies, I think you've convinced me! If they're long enough (and if they fit, they only had S-M) I might get the purple and the black! :):)

And thanks for the pumpkin tips too - easy peasy! YUM!

Oh I've always wanted to make pumpkin soup, but I don't think il be getting a pumpkin this yr, I had been planning to give a Halloween party but due to the usual non-commital of the friends, I've had no rsvps either way rly, so think il hop off to wales instead and go to a friends party on the Saturday eve, hence the costume makeup :)
  • Was at work this morning, had own ancient but comfy black trousers and uniform top which is a white tunic. Now home and in mis-matching primark pyjamas! Blue Rudolph bottoms and leopard print fleece top. Feel quite embarrassed admitting that now lol!

Cleared out some of my summer clothes, 3 old but well loved tops in the bin plus other summer stuff moved to bottom of wardrobe in anticipation of warmer days and jumpers moved into prime hanging space :(
I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Trying to find a work life balance...:rotfl:
