*panics* I'm shortly going to become a 'stepmum' to three cats, I've never done high maintenance pets, it's kind of scaring me at the moment. I'm sure I'll cope. everyone else seems to, but it seems to be taking up a lot of brain power at the moment.

Jealous! Lost's quite right, the more the merrier and a cat really makes a home. Ours will walk around the garden with us, let us know if the litter needs changing or fresh water is needed and are just wonderful company (and very warm on a winter's might).

Pirate- I used to give blood despite being rubbish at it and never failed to pass out. I can't donate anymore but blood transfusions probably saved my life in hospital so I'm eternally grateful to people like you.

Oh lost I'm exactly the same as you. I got all teary last night thinking about what I'd do if Oscar died (am a massive wuss and can't imagine life without him) :(

You've reminded me Char that I haven't given blood for ages, definitely not since we moved. I think there's a donation centre thing on Friday near work though so I will do my best to pop along.

Trying to type this with a 7 week old kitten sat on my knee :D (NOW MOVED TO the keyboard)

Still in my scruffy work clothes, bleach splattered trackie pants and a sweatshirt.

I'm off out to watch Hayley & Dan from Dancing on Ice later, they are in a show at the local ice rink....I will smarten up (promise)
    outfit will be:

Grey dress with peacock feather print from DP
    Black thick tights
    Black biker style boots

not sure on a jacket yet, either my biker one or may borrow daughter's Harrington.

On the cat peeing problem, Feliway is the best ever, a herbal pheramone which deters obsessive behaviour and is fab for calming down cats on bonfire night.

I bought some of this a while back (£20!) to try and stop my two chasing each other around the house after lights-out but if anything it made the problem worse! Maybe they just hate each other?
I will give a +1 for Feliway, GF* used to work for Cats Protection League and they used it. We used it for our cat who was a bit nervous before taking over the entire house.

*unwritten rule of the internet any guy posting about cats must mention his GF unless he is gay.

:rotfl: I saw a mug in a seaside gift shop once that said "Real men love cats" - wish I'd bought it for my OH now, as since we moved in together he treats them more than I do (and indeed, better than he treats me!)

Thanks also Goan for the charity shop link, I got 5 bits yesterday for £11 on my payday charity binge :D

And thanks to PF for reminding me to book a blood appointment, haven't been for ages!

    Today's outfit wholly uninspired:

    - Black blouse (Topshop sale)
    - Purple long cardi (H&M sale)
    - Sheep and shepherd badge (gift)
    - Grey checky trousers that are too big but I need more work trousers before I throw them out (DP sale?)
    - Flat black boots (Faith)
    - Specs, as my eyes are really pink and sore again :(

Eek, we just had a huge hail stone storm here :(. Quite scarey.

I'm in my college uniform so thats pretty boring. (black trousers, black tunic, black shoes) I can't even wear any accessories to liven it up.

Having a generally icky day - retail therapy tomorrow though :o.

I wish I could give blood but I'm too underweight apparently (well I was 6 months ago) Might try again next time they visit my work.

    Me too Char, me too.
