I'm off for four days again next week...business not pleasure, though hope to meet up with some friends for a meal and do an Italian grocery shop to haul back too.
I've really GOT to travel light because its a very early flight and I can't possibly get there earlier enough to check a hold bag. I'm going to get my hair and make up stuff down to the requisite 10 objects, and wear trainers and jeans....to the city of fashion...how dreadful
and take two dresses suitable for day and evening. with...ONE pair of shoes. The thought of it makes me feel a little panicky...just the one pair...I have to leave room in my hand luggage for an empty suitcase to do my shop in

Lost, I hope you manage a good time despite lack of shoes (I'd panic too!)
I've been awfully un-MSE today and bought some wedge heeled boots in new look for £25..although to be fair I do need something comfortable but smart for going out in. Heels kill my knees at the moment.
I also ordered some running shoes via my grandparents, with £15 off and I'm paying them back over two months. Again, quite a necessity as I hope to start some gentle exercise with physio guidance and need something decent to protect my knees and ankles.
But still. THE GUILT.
My Grandad is taking me on a Primark spree tomorrow, I feel guilty but oh so excited! And then it is beauty and the beast with the best friend in the evening!0 -
Don't feel guilty! It's always worth investing in decent shoes - you don't want to end up with wrecked joints in later life!
Lost, you should be fine. I checked my case when I went to Croatia (needed the hand luggage for books!) but the case was small enough to go in the overhead lockers and it had 6 days worth of stuff in it. If I can do it then anyone can!0 -
Dark jeans, black and sparkley silver stripey jumper, huntley boots, black wool coat. Black boots would have been better but went to Oxford Street with daughter and needed comfy footwear. Really pleased about the jumper, another size 12 I can get into again going down from a 16 due to weight gain from medication. This is very exciting as I have lots of size 12 stuff still stashed away I might be able to get into.
Kitten you sound just like my eighteen year old daughter. She lives in her pyjamas either matching or otherwise! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Ooft I spent at least 3 hours in Toys R Us playing with the toys (hehe) - got some of my LO's Christmas shopping done at least.
Managed to get 2400 points in Boots due to their points event plus a £5 No7 voucher - yay. Treat time after Xmas I think (boxing day sales anyone?) Theres another event soon but I can get an additional 500 points on top of the 1200 so I may just stock up on nappies etc to get it (MSE kind of I suppose ...) Did get loads of Xmas presents though.
Also got a 10 day sample of Double Wear foundation so we will see how that one works - fingers crossed.Make £10 a day challenge (August) - £175/£3100 -
Sounds v. MSE with your boots points there, Mia
Today's outfit (I feel like a total mess because i've not put any makeup on - intentionally because my skin is awful at the moment, so i kinda thought a day off it would do me good) :
grey knitted pinafore dress with darker grey cat print, lace edges, and flower buttons - g21 at asda
pearl / grey corsge bracelet, blog win
silver sparkly pumps, tesco (flats because i blistered the backs of my ankles the other day and wanted something that wouldn't sit where they hurt)
teal tshirt under pinafore dress, primark
silver cardi, h&m
teal skinny patent belt with a bow - new look?
bead necklace from primark last weekend with various coloured strands0 -
outfit:
dark skinny jeans: next via mum's wardrobe
paisley print loose jersey top: next
knee high flat black boots: office via a friend
super casual, for now!0 -
