You can use them anywhere that's not pay in full - any restaurant, or hotels, days out etc.

We use them for merlin annual passes and it's been hard enough to get them this year, still short of 50 points for the last one. I suppose I should at least be grateful that I can get the final one before they bring in this change.

I've been saving up for the Merlin passes also. And should have enough with the next mailing as long as I get them before 6th December!

But how do the vouchers work, are they valid for 6 months like normal days out vouchers? Just need to redeem them at a ticket booth at say Alton Towers and they issue you with an official annual pass?

I'm worrired that the voucher Tesco send will say 'worth £120' towardsan annual pass and the cost of the pass will go up also!

    can someone please advise me

    Many thanks

  • I know it's a little irritating that they've changed the figures, but it is still free money at the end of the day. It seems a little bit churlish to get all cranky about it.

From what I've seen of nectar points they are completely useless - unless you can afford to go on overseas holidays. Asda, Aldi and Lidl, don't do any reward scheme at all as far as I know.

So clubcard points, even though somewhat nerfed now, are still a good bonus.

I shop around to find the best supermarket deals that suit me that week as I'm lucky to have a choice of supermarkets around me. So if that happens to be Sainsbury's that week I'll shop there and collect my Nectar points.

I have accumulated some nectar points over the years. Can't say they are as good/varied as Tesco's clubcard points but I usually use any I have in Argos 500pts = £2.50.

Not worth a vast amount tbh, but if you have the points and dont think you will use them there is usualy something you can find in Argos. You hand your Nectar card over at the till when ordering and the points come off your card straight away!

You can also trade your Nectar points in for Amazon gift codes, very handy. We do most of our shopping at Tesco because the rewards and overall online shopping experience are better, but those little bits we get at Sainsburys have added up to nice little discounts at Argos and Amazon. ;)

I'm going to trade in my points for restaurant vouchers before Dec 5 but not having done this before can anyone tell me what denominations they come in? eg if i ask for £40 of pizza express vouchers will they be 10s/20s or what? Thanks!
  • They have always come in £10's for restaurant vouchers for me - HTH

Yes you get a voucher for a merlin annual pass that can be changed at any of the attractions and this last for 6mths and does not state an amount it is the cost of a full annual pass. But check where you are going to use it as london dungeons can't do them as have no camera facility but most do. All the theme parks are definately able to do them
