The policy has always been than non-financial threads do not belong on the moneysaving forums. While Discussion Time isn't perfect either, it is more appropriate under out policy.

It would probably be more appropriate that you request that a specific non-moneysaving advice forum was created if that's what you'd like to see.

    Kind Regards

Thanks ever so much for acknowledging this thread . Many regular posters are frustrated with the amount of threads moved to DT from other boards, in particular from the benefits section .

Numerous threads have been posted here asking for a sub section for benefit discussion rather than moving them to DT .

Please would you please give this serious consideration , I know I can speak on behalf of many regulars in DT who are frankly fed up of it .

    Thank you

Ok, I get it now. I have the remnants of a migraine right now and brain is not as sharp as it should be. I was working on the basis of....that seems too good to be true.

Oh happy days. How long have I been moaning about this? 3 or 4 years ish? :rotfl:

Dont think they'd like me back now. :rotfl:

You do deserve a big thank you too!

No.....shush, this isn't just me. LOADS of people have said this. Ames started this particular thread and loads of good posters have just joined in, in agreement. It's just the right time now that's all. :o

If my powers of persuasion were 'all that' ......they'd have listened to me moaning years ago and changed things then. :rotfl:

Thank you MSE team for listening. A new board for advice and support about things not money saving would be fantastic and stop a lot of trouble and heartache.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

While I understand the policy and the desire to keep some of the issues out of Moneysaving, I really do find the insensitivity of the current policy to be much worse than the apparent inappropriateness of some of the threads.

I would add my name to those requesting a new forum along the lines you suggest. I would suggest that in fact you drop Moneysaving from the title of the current Marriage Relationships and Families Forum and move it to a new place. You could start a new replacement forum in Moneysaving - but mostly things are covered by the other topics AFAICS
