I'm 30 and still have a stocking. In 2 households! I love it, best bit I think. My sister and I always enjoyed "make your own waterglobe/snowman" toy. I now know it was only to shut us up for an hour or so before we asked for the next present. Bloomin brilliant. Boots 3 for 2 gifts are brilliant for girly stockings.0

I love the juice idea too!
Our DD's open their stocking when they wake up & play for a while until we are ready to get up.
We put lots of bits in that they can play with, colouring book, pens/pencils, polly pocket, little book, some chocolate or sweets...
Last year DD shouted at 2:30 "he's been" & woke everyone up!0 -
My DS is nearly 5yrs old now and this year has seemed the easiest so far for his stocking. So far I've got:
Dominoes - £shop
Juggling balls - £shop (he's been desperate for some!!)
Arty things - pencils, colouring book etc
Santa soap - superdrug
Disney mug filled with marshmallows - wilkos
Socks and undies
Yoyo's
Disney flannel
Need to add:
Satsuma
Chocolate coins
Probably something else - can't remember!!
Last year we added a lot of toys in his stocking (well mainly Thomas the tank engines - £5 each!!) But this year I'm excited about being able to have more traditional items.0 -
when i was a kid, maybe 35 or so years ago, my mam used to cut the legs off a pair of tights, and put all the small/medium presents for me and my brother in there, all wrapped in xmas paper, with careful stretching she could get it about ten feet long.!! ha ha, American Tan only in those days.....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
