Energy Saving lightbulb offers

Tesco's at Abingdon have been out of the 11 watt General Electric bulb for some weeks but they had restocked the shelf this morning so I picked up five for various rooms. They hadn't removed the out of stock label so the price wasn't clear so they may not go to quickly.0

Waitrose Food & Home branches have their light bulbs controlled and priced by John Lewis' lighting buying office, whereas standard Waitrose branches have theirs sourced by Waitrose and are therefore not subject to "never knowingly undersold".
What's Waitrose Food and Home then? Can't see any sign of it on the website. Never heard of it round here (Midlands). Is it local to some parts of the country?
May need its marketing improving to get more widely known.0 -

None in our local Tesco yesterday either. I noticed the SEL says the offer finishes today!0 -

It's a Waitrose store with a large non-food offer from John Lewis, usually just homewares but the Canary Wharf one also has some clothes. There are only five in the whole country: Canary Wharf, Southend, Salisbury, Cheltenham and Rushden. Think Tesco Extra but a whole lot classier. (Canary Wharf has a smoothie bar, steak and oyster bar, Moshi Moshi sushi bar and even a wine bar!)0 -

Not much use to those of us in the West Midlands or North then!
Bought my dozen in Morrisons today. Loads in stock. But had to search in the box for bayonet as opposed to screw fittings.0 -
It may not be the cheapest offer anymore but Poundland have been selling CFl bulbs for ages at.... £1.00 of course....
I have a few of their 11watt ones and they are a really white light much better than some of my "expensive" ones.0
