I've got some of the Coopers ones. They seem to perform a lot better than other ones (e.g. Philips) - get up to full operating light pretty instantly versus others which take 10-20secs. Wouldn't like to comment on lifespan...they don't make claims like Philips.
Incidentally, since I bought from Coopers, I've noticed they're available cheaper (£6.50 for 3 but not sure if that included VAT) from Costco.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
Yes it is/was in all Morissons, not on shelves but in display baskets around the store, see this previous thread on the Shop/n/drop board.

And they reach full brightness almost immediately, are smaller, an obvious improvement on older ones, highly recommended at 50p each!.

My 3 local Morrisons ( 2 ex Safeways) are not doing this deal, but at my local IKEA they are £1.99 each which make them cheaper than the initial post even at BOGOF price :jI am a debt counsellor working in the voluntary sector - we don't charge our clients for the work we do!0

My Morrisons is doing a 3 pack for £1.99, ive not tried the particular brand myself because sice switching to long life bulbs about 10 years ago i have never had to replace one. I probably have enough spares to out live me now.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..

My local Tesco in Yarmouth had a BOGOFF deal on 9w & 11w bulbs last week - £1.99 each.
I bought 20 for my holdiay cottages and am going back for more.
These ones are GEC made, so decent make.0 -
Don't know if this will help anyone but some housing associations give away energy saving lightbulbs for free along with insulation etc. I am with Beaver Housing part of London and Quadrant and they gave me an energy bulb for every room including a special bathroom fitment, they do this for all their tenants if they ask. Anyway I know not everyone is a tenant but for anyone who is it may be worth asking your council or housing association if they too run this scheme.

Found stacks of the Phillips Energy Saver Bulbs (11W instead of 60W) on BOGOF at the Yeovil branch of Morrisons. Presumably a nationwide thing. Normally 99p each but BOGOF brings them under 50p.
Hope that helps
