I saw the review on the gadgetshow for budget phones and none of them came close to the value of the SF.
  • If you don't want to use the phone on orange can you still download non-orange apps on the San Francisco?

Yes. Barcode Scanner, Tune in Radio, Google Maps are all able to be installed.

Just put the new sim card in and the phone will ask you for an 8 digit code, put the code in and hey presto sorted :T
  • Please forgive my genuine ignorance...

How do you just buy the handset from Orange for £99.99?

When I've looked at their website, it makes you choose one of the animal plans and also a £10 top up. Aren't you tied into those animal top up plans for a year? I was hoping to buy one of these phones and use the £10 a month T-Mobile sim with it.
  • I don't think you can just buy the phone, you have to buy the top-up, too. You are only tied into the animal plan as long as you use the phone on PAYG with Orange. Most people are buying the phone, using the £10 top-up then, having unlocked it, moving onto a sim-only deal with another network.
If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button
