I'm a few surveys off payout again on GTM but I agree there are certain sites we all seem to prefer.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Had a go at surveys this morning, got screened out of a few but I'm now up to 205 points on GTM.
Also requested a voucher from VO as I had 12.50 just sitting there.
These will go towards the lawnmower that we sent to the tip thinking it had blown, when in fact it was simply the old extension reel that had gone. Was very angry with OH at the time, although both were given by my parents to put us on four years ago, so not the end of the worldOPs so far £42,139

Going to try and deep clean my house today (it is surface clean, I do clean daily) however, I am debating whether to employ a team of 'professionals' to do an end of tenancy clean at my rental property.
Two years ago when I did it myelf, I had complaints that it wasn't good enough. Although in fairness it wasn't vacant as I had four guys sharing, then one left and another moved in and it was the one who moved in who wasn't happy. He was happy with his room, which had been empty for a couple of days so was able to do a thorough clean, but not the communal areas. It isn't easy to clean communal areas that are covered in stuff.
Anyway last year it was vacant for two months as we had it extensively renovated new plaster throughout, new bathroom, all new kitchen appliances etc. All new furniture. So looked immaculate and I want to keep it that way.
My sister has just been employed as an end of tenancy cleaner by an agency, the one she was employed with charges £440 for a full house:eek::eek::eek:. But I didn't know whether to just have the kitchen/bathroom done about £120 each:eek::eek::eek:. The thing that worries me other than the price, as they only use largely students paid £6.50 an hour, so are they really doing that good a job. My sister said do it yourself. So I'm going to have a good go at my own and see how good I can make it.OPs so far £42,139

This cleaning is a bit grim - oven looks great though, the finding of oven pride may just have changed my life:rotfl:

Is it really that good? I've had a box in the cupboard for a couple of months but as it's a job i hate, putting it off:o.
You are both making me thin that maybe i should give it a try. This will probably sound really silly, but i have this real dread of putting my hand in a dirty oven, don't really know why, it's not a fear of the dirt, maybe it's because it's dark - told you it was silly.

well i hadnt cleaned mine since it was fitted 3 years ago

Scummy i know, then it was recommended to me by a colleague bought some and put it off for ages but when i eventually did it i was amazed how clean it came up (or made me realise how dire it was before!)
As long as you follow insturctions the grime just wipes off, i used kitchen roll to avoid rinsing a manky cloth not very MSE but i have a phobia of mank on my hands lol....:rotfl:0 -
All flyladies - cover your eyes!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if it's that long since mine was done, lol!:o
You have convinced me to give it a go this weekend.

If you get it clean, my top MSE tip is to wipe out the oven after use while it is still a bit warm with white vinegar. It works lovely. I'm a bit scared of harsh cleaners. I think I will end up getting it everywhere and burning my skin. My oven isn't that bad really as it is only just 6 months old.0
