£50k in 4 years is an immense achievement - especially when you factor in the fact that you've had your babies and therefore not worked! Be proud!

Thank you - it is good when you put it like that. Still a large amount to get rid of though:rotfl:

Fantabulous! I would say you deserve a treat, but working that out was your treat, wasn't it, :rotfl:

Do you feel ever so slightly addicted?!

Probably should feel addicted, but don't really - spent sometime this morning playing with the mortgage calculator if we pay 400 extra a month we will be mortgage free in 10 years aged 37 now that is something to aim for:rotfl:

Now that would be nice. I could possibly be MF in 11 years (aged 40) so that is what I am working towards!

Even if there's balance of 10k left that's neither here nor there is it. :)

Back from our hol at the east coast - absolutely loved it!

Was also nice to do a lot of eating out, swimming, had 3 alcoholic drinks my first this year which I thoroughly enjoyed. Spent 100 for the four of us which was pretty good going.

Just catching up with my present challenge - going surprisingly well.

Only got DD1s bday in Oct left now, as our family birthdays are all spring/summer - plus obviously christmas but I have a really full present pile (for adult friends bdays/children's parties) so pretty good going:j

Back from our second five day summer hol, courtesy of 'the sun' - come back from hornsea loved it!!:j:j

My sister has been offered a job as a dietician, she very very recently qualified so that's good. It's in Oldham though which I know won't impress her as she really wanted to stay in Leeds ah well will have to catch up on the goss.

Slightly envious as I had DD1 by the time I was her age (24) so I'm feeling a bit deflated that she is climbing the career ladder whilst me and OH muddle through on low paid jobs - but I am fully supportive and it was completely our choice.

Now there is a challenge! Fancy a race? I am the same age as you and also have the aim of paying off my mortgage (or at least what I owe now) in 10 years.

In reality I expect that I will end up with another mortgage by then when I move to a bigger house and have a family. :D

    A race would be great:j:j

I agree though, we will probably be not living here in ten years either, I'm going for mortgage reduction as a form of damage limitation for the 'new' mortgage:D

Just love surveys another £18 in the post today. I'm only doing certain ones now though, pine cone and kantar as they pay always and you know what you are getting.

Should go back to Global TM but can never be bothered, the surveys always screen me out. Possibly in winter, but I am enjoying the sun too much at the mo
