Very busy social life this week but is costing a fortune.

Tues baby group then lunch out.
Wed lunch out (deserved it as I chopped down a tree by myself and it took 7 trips to the tip to get rid of)
Thur sisters graduation so tea out plus wine and gift.
Fri took my kids for a treat as I had to take DD1 for a speech and language assessment and she was very very good.

Food costing a fortune at the mo did a quick shop for £15 so going to see how long it lasts a week? Not likely:rotfl:

Still paying £599 in interest every month so only £250 off the capital which is spurring me on right now. I'm currently at £6000, would love it to be £8000 by year end.
    OPs so far £42,139

I'm still feeling a bit sad about the death of Amy Winehouse, a couple of my old university friends are regulars in Camden and had met her numerous times in the Mixer and Marathon. She's also only a year older than me.

I didn't take a job in London when I was offered one, and in a way it's one of my biggest regrets as I could have had a bit of a wild time in my early twenties in London. Alas I settled oop north, where we are originally from with OH quickly followed by the kids.

My friends have also settled down with 'london graduate' jobs but they do still have a Camden 'studenty' existence, I think it's the whole 'facebook' thing though they all seem to be having such a good time whereas the highlight of my week is morrisons cafe:rotfl:

Have to keep remembering facebook isn't 'real.'

Managed to get a sand and water table for £5 (usually £25) as it was ex display, got pipped to the post for the children's patio set though a real bargain for £5 - probably a good job as we already have a children's table and chair set and really don't need another.

That's a great bargain! I would have quite liked the patio set though!

    Hi Sarah,

I did the Australian in london thing for years, had a ball would do it all again (but I'd have to be young again AND long term amnesia would be required to get me to do some of the sillier things we did again)... but to cheer you up, look at my sig and compare when my mortgage will be paid off compare to yours.

AND I have no OH and no kids... I don't regret my life, but neither should you!!

Thanks Sepa you are right, I certainly don't regret my life - actually I often say that I wish I'd had the kids earlier as a) I can't imagine life without them b) they are my world`- I was 23 when I had DD1 so couldn't really have had them earlier.

I don't think the 'party scene' would have really have suited me as my uni friends always remind me, all I wanted was my own home and a couple of daughters, don't know why I could never see myself with a boy.

Putting another £270 towards the mortgage

My life is pretty boring but I do love my life, wouldn't change it.

    Well done on the OP.

Another good day today, just went to the park. The children's centre this morning and had lunch with friends.
