I transferred funds from ICICI to A+L on 27/10 and it has arrived in my A+L current account today and the money has cleared.0

I've been having problems logging into my account as the details I had don't seem to work anymore (have they re-issued account no/pw's?). Anyway, I emailed them and they replied within 48 hours but it had gone straight to my spam folder! I use the Totalise/Madasafish isp.
Guess what, the login number they gave still didn't work and when I phoned and gave them my account number they said it didn't exist!!!!! I'll check tonight and phone them again.

That's bad luck - hope you didn't have any money in the account.
My transfer has been cleared now so I've sent it back to my current account.
Hopefully that will be done at the end of the week. Will leave me with a few pounds of test transfers and I can close the account - and good riddance.
icesave in comparison seems to be working well.0 -
What is going on with ICICI? They've been brilliant for me up to now but just recently the website has turned into a sloppy lash-up.
Was really pleased with the account but now I'm thinking of abandoning ship.
Hope it's a temporary blip.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
I requested closure of my account via messaging on 25th Oct (late afternoon).
The account was closed by them 31st Oct and the money should be in my cahoot tomorrow fingers crossed, which would be 8 days (including last weekend) since my request. Then it can be sucked into my Birmingham Midshires account via DD and I can be completely shot of the ICICI 'upgradation'.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -
I requested closure on 10th October, and it has still not been actioned. Fortunately I withdrew my funds prior to the request and I only have £1 left on deposit, but the principle is the same.
To make matters worse, I have sent numerous secure messages and follow-up emails to no avail. Some of them were replied to, and promise a response within x working days, which then signally fails to materialise.
Extremely poor service. They don't deserve my custom (but I can't shake them off!).0 -
See here for the latest example of incompetence. :rolleyes:0

To add yet another rant to the list:
I recently closed my current account, so had to change ICICI's linked account. Not a problem, I thought - I had done this before.
11th Oct: sent a £1 cheque and requested change of linked a/c online. OK, I had made a mistake and sent the cheque to the Knightsbridge branch - the address I was given when I changed linked a/c in May. However, I phoned immediately and was assured that that would make no difference.
19th Oct: cheque credited (after 7 days!). Linked a/c not changed. Requested change of linked a/c online again. This time I sent the cheque to the Wembley branch following their new instructions.
27th Oct: Phoned and asked why the cheque had been cashed but the linked a/c not changed. I was told someone would phone me back within 2 working days.
30th Oct: Nobody ever phoned. I phoned again. Another request to change linked a/c.
1st Nov: Never received a call. 2nd cheque still not credited. Linked a/c not changed. Phoned them again. I was told that my telephone request of 30th Oct was not due to be answered until 2nd Nov.
All I wanted was transfer the money out. Serves me right for entrusting these wasters with 35K.Dagobert0 -
I need to transfer some money out of my icici a/c into my linked account. It is over the £10000 daily limit. Would I be better off doing two separate requests on the same day or withdrawing funds over two days.0

Just keep each idividual transfer below £10k and you can do them ALL today and without any problems.
Tip: To identify them more easily, make each one for a different amount.0
