Bunk beds - metal or wood?

    I personally would not recoomend Metal bunk beds.

    Not only are they very heavy and not very nice looking, they can be cold and not very friendly.

    Wood bunk beds are much better, you could even paint wood much easier than a metal frame.

    local pine shops often do good quality at good prices

    wooden beds tend to stay looking good longer, whereas the metal ones get scratched and chipped

    we bought pine bunkbeds nearly 8 years ago from our local bedstore and they are still going strong now and as sturdy as ever the mattresses were seperate i think all in we paid nearly £400 but they have definately been worth the money
