I used to run up a gas bill of approx £5.50 a quarter in one house I rented.

can't say you've motivated me to clean - you'll have to work harder at that or kick harder lol but you have given me the courage to sort out my leccy bills.0

Finding out the outlaws are calling in after lunch today means I'll be running round the house like a maniac. Lunch is anytime from about 11am .
We had a really bad quarter for electricity (we have no gas and no other form of heating) £410. We got a bit:eek: carried away with the new heaters when it was really cold as it ws so nice to be warm for a change.
Once we got the bill we realised that we didn't need them on like they were so should drop down again nicely :money:One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

i had one of those winters the first year i lived her, only for me i was still freezing even when the bill was so high, i think we'll actually end this winter quarter in credit which is the first time ever, and we've actually had the oil filled rads on this winter as it's been so cold. I have to admit that i'm sure the new windows and patio door have made a huge difference.0

LOL - the electric bill isn't as good unfortunately! Remember we have no central heating, so the only thing we use the gas for is cooking! It was better when we first had the gas coker installed actually bas then we got DD discount AND dual fuel discount on the gas (they've changed the way they work it out now) and the two discounts used to combine and pay the bill each month, so the £5 p/m just accumulated! :rotfl:Yep, me tooEH, the sleepers are my sister's - and I have an old bedframe (the joints fell apart, but there's lots of wood in it) to make a veg bed from, and no raised ground that needs holding back
Ah - I do remember you mentioning selling something for your sister, but hadn't realised that the sleepers were the "something"!between you and ruby sew and sew you have been motivating me bakc into 15 min bursts of housework. So house looks a bit neater. just the dreaded decluttering to do...
Marvellous! Not sure how I achieved motivation, but well done you for being motivated anyway! Actually, that's a good point, I must factor in some 15 minute bursts round here tomorrow. :cool:Lemon_Tree wrote: »can't say you've motivated me to clean - you'll have to work harder at that or kick harder lol but you have given me the courage to sort out my leccy bills.
Good stuff! I've just added the energysmart thing to our BG electricity tariff so they will be sending me a monitor thing soon hopefully which shold be interesting. I keep a constant eye on the meter in any case so having to submit monthly readings is no hardship!
