Do you follow TheoPaphitis, Dragonjones, Lordsugar and Duncanbannatyne? Some good business stuff going on there in their tweets.
Yes, we got all the way through the booking on the Trainline site and then it added a booking fee, only £1 but still, I wasn't happy but didn't think I had a choice....then we got to the payment itself and all of a sudden there was a charge for paying by credit card as well! I felt it was so sneaky the way they'd done it, well, that was it, no way! Did a bit of digging and came up with TransPennineExpress - effectively the same site model as Trainline but they actively advertise the fact that they charge no fees over the top of the ticket price so :T:T for them. 70p Cashback through TCB tracked immediately too, and had gone to validated by the next morning, plus we will get the same 70p in cashback on the credit card too. I wouldn't hesitate to book through them again.
I don't follow any of those at the moment, will take a look.Ooh good tip will add them for a bit and see if they annoy me

Quick money UPDATE
My cheque cleared through the bank on Monday and all the money-shuffling is now done for the time being. £70 went straight to the holiday fund (as it was the extra I earnt for doing a additional day the other week) and my Tax money is sorted out too. As planned I also transferred £33 into my own account.
Grocery budget: Still on track although a little higher than I would ideally have liked as a result of buying cat food and litter on the Tesco 3 for 2 (annoyingly the cheap Go-Cat in Asda had finished by the time we got there). We will however be well stocked up for both until at least the end of May I reckon. I don't think there is anything much else that I will need to stock up on for a while now, although once March comes along I will probably need meat, and rice.
Holiday Fund: Now has enough in it to pay for our holiday! :T Always a nice feeling! Cottage balance needs paying in the next few weeks but the lady who owns it will email me and remind me anyway. At the end of this month OH will count up his years total for money found on the street - he knows there is over £10 in there and that will go to the holiday, as will the contents of the savings pig which we will also count in the next few weeks!
Exciting/Fun Stuff :We now have a trip to Chester planned for the beginning of March - just a day trip but it's getting together with a good friend for his 40th birthday. Plus it's somewhere I've never visited, and PLUS it's a trip on a train which is always a cheery prospect!
Credit card bill: arrived today and is manageable - quite a bit needs transferring in to the account the payment comes from by MrEH, and just a little bit by me.
Other stuff: The new Life/CI insurance is now set up, and letters have gone to Pinnacle & Legal & General to cancel the old policies. Pinnacle have already shown that they are likely to cancel MrEH's policy straight away as they did with mine, and L7G have no cancellation period in their T's & C's so hopefully they should do the same. We will be saving £29 p/m overall, and I have already opened a new savings account which will have £19 of that transferred into it each month for household expenses like contents insurance, and the balance will go to the Mortgage.
There will be a To Do list incoming for tomorrow!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
