Well done on ebay and sales stuff
  • Well done on the thermals :D It's very 'dreich' as we say up here - cold, grey and damp!! Here's hoping the sun's come back by the time you get back up.

[STRIKE]Email revised logo to website chap[/STRIKE]Couldn't come up with anything that I was happy with so have emailed to ask him just to run with what he has for now.
[STRIKE]Read through insurance information, check and if OK file away[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Last Avon books out[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Pop a slip through final customer with an outstanding delivery's door asking her to contact me re deliveryWritten ready to pop through when I'm out later[/STRIKE]

    Print returns form for Avon
Pack up returns ready for courier [/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Cook pork in tomato sauce in slow cooker ready for re-heat tomorrow[/STRIKE]Done, and very yummy it is too!

Also had the conversation with British Gas this morning and the DD should now be correct. I did take the chance to have a little moan about the fact that I suspect that the person I spoke to last time just didn't alter it because he felt I didn't need to change it! Apparently our Nectar card is now active as well so I can get back to doing our regular meter reads again.

once again a lovely long list which is making me tired. Though truthfully it's the fact that i had to get up this morning after a lovely long weekend that's making my eyes tired. :)
  • I've had european and aussie buyers despite saying UK only - the one thing i found is that there is very little difference between the UK and other countries for prices with the royal mail.

If they bought 4 items, work out the weight for them all as one parcel and price up, then tell them to pay the new price via the invoice. Mine did and were not worried about the slight increase.
One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Yes - this one was a little craftier than that - bid for and won four items, then paid up quick before I could revise the postage amount! She's getting her four items sent in two separate parcels, with no tracking or signed for on them, but I have told her twice in messages that I am sending entirely at her risk. Can't do more than that without cancelling the transaction, and I can see that being more hassle than it's worth. Thankfully the bits she's bought are nice and lightweight!

Right - off for a potter in the kitchen with the slow cooker!

  • At least you've sorted it, I never usually cover insurance or signed for anyway, except the Wii as that was too expensive to have go missing!

Hi EH! Found you! Blimey, thats quite something with your ebay sales :( mine are all the UK - tho I did get someone asking if I could quote for courier delivery for two railway sleepers, and were they under 30kg? I rather thought they weren't, and then a mad little website called railwaysleeper.com gave the weight of oak railway sleepers as 150lbs minimum! So thats no courier service then :)
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • ROFL at your mad website KC :rotfl: - that's brilliant! can't you incorporate your sleepers into garden design somewhere along the line?

Me I only usually offer second class standard for things, unless someone has bought multiple in which case I tend to increase to signed for due to the risk of ending up with a lot of charge-backs from eBay if the buyer claims the packet hasn't arrived. When the Clinique makeup went to over £10 I decided I would go recorded on that at no extra charge too, and the same with that badge that the price rocketed on as well - considering that went for about £6 more than I ever dreamed it would, I figured I could stand an extra few pennies for the next delivery level up!

My Italian items weren't too bad at all on the postage in the end after the lovely lady in the PO informed me that there *were* letters in there as well, so I'd be sending them at the cheaper "letter" rate, wouldn't I?! ;) I'd assumed they had to go at the small packet rate, so that was good!

Oh, and British Gas rang back - seems that the DD can't be set lower than £5, which was why it reverted back to the lower level when the chap tried it before. Why HE couldn't have called me back and told me this, rather than send me an utterly pointless letter, lord knows! Anyway, it's now set at £5, so we'll be running into credit again no doubt! *rolls eyes smiley*

Popping back up the thread to update the list now....

Hey Essex, yes mines is the buffer thingybob and I've used silky mitts in the past. Very tiring which is why I got the electronic one, just need to start using it again now.
