So - we have mine & MrEH's heading for our mortgage, LT sending hers to crack a whip at Norbert - what plans do the rest of you have for yours then?
Mortgage here - not very exciting - except it was the payment that knocked a month off the MFD date :j
With my regular small OP & next month's CTax I only need around £40 to knock another month off. Ebay here I comeA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Mine will just prop up the bank account :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Had excellent day today - i have a shiny new laptop :T. Got engineers letter for £25 which showed it was beyond economical repair, took straight over to Staples with the original receipt. They sent through to Head Office, 2 hours later I got the amazing news that 1) it was being written off (as I knew it would be - 2 1/2 years old and not part of a recall) and 2) I was getting back the price I had paid originally plus the £25, no wear and tear or depreciation :j. I bought it was a tax rebate too
So I left with a brand new laptop, office 2010, virus software, a new laptop bag and some plastic wallets i needed for the grand sum on £17! Plus a tip on how to use the old lappys hard drive as an external reader as it was being chucked in a skip and it had not been cleared. I've just purchased the external reader case on ebay for £3.95!
I cannot recommend their staff enough for their help and expertise when chosing my replacement. One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.

well done gally, my overpayments on my mortgage have been minimal, never more than a fiver in all honesty but eventually i'll be able to kick up the overpayments.0

If you're heading up North at any point anyway, I found Lewis Tyre Services at Stornoway excellent - cost me less for one of my scarily pricey Clio tyres than I would have paid down here, and the service was superb too.Mortgage here - not very exciting - except it was the payment that knocked a month off the MFD date :j

That MAKES it exciting GG!Good luck with eBay!

Me that is the sort of customer service that would encourage me to shop there in the future - excellent news!
I did succumb to the temptation of an Approved Food order tonight - I have several times before thrown lots of stuff in the basket only to decide it's not worth it as I've ended up filling up with "stuff" just because it was cheap rather than because it was stuff that I would have bought anyway. Tonights basket includes 4 x fajita dinner kits, 4 x enchilada dinner kits, 5 x packs of flour tortillas, lots of cous cous and some bulgar wheat, lots of crisps, some fruit juice, 3 jars of thai curry sauce and quite a few other bits, all for the princely sum of £26.00 - really really pleased with what I bought anyway, even if it does mean that I had to knock one of the NSD's off my signature!
Off out with my Mum tomorrow afternoon as MrEH is playing rugby and Mr Ellibee is watching football - we've had a Home Bargains open a few miles away so we're going to go and investigate that.....send some positive spendy-Elf-resisting vibes my way please!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Home Bargains was fairly successful - and Mum and I are both agreed that we definitely will be going back! Came out with a tube of toothpaste, 2 tins of soup, and a packet of Tunnocks Teacakes, so not too spendy! Also while we were out popped into the farm shop - was delighted to find they still have seville oranges so I bought a big bag and we will be making Marmalade at some point soon!
Finally Asda - who have Branston Baked beans on special offer again - 4 for £1, so two packs came home with me! Took advantages of some Lidl offers on fruit and veg this morning as well so currently have masses of fruit in - oranges, bananas, mangoes and apples. All in all a successful day without breaking the bank!

Mmmmmm, home made marmalade, yum. I made some plum jam last week as they were reduced in Coop. Had never made jam before and was quite pleased with the result.
