not sure about hiding his shoes, probably best to hide his pants and trousers! that will probably keep him indoors.0 -

Your lists make me feel really embarrassed, I can't even motivate myself to do anything and here you are, crossing off entire lists *sneaks away feeling ashamed*
Hah - he wouldn't be caught dead playing wimpy football!gentle hugs to MR EH ..he must be in agony...hope he gets better soon x
He's a lot better today Taxi, so hopefully will continue improving at the same rate.youareallhelpingme wrote: »If a rugby player is really hurt I'd hate to meet the other player in a dark alley .

Funny you should say that....I currently have custody of his car key (there's only one key for his) and he has been informed that, at the present time, he doesn't have permission to drive mine....so if I find it missing it will be reported as stolen!boredofbeingathome wrote: »Poor Mr.EH hope it gets sorted soon.

Good heavens, EH - the morphine puts into perspective how bad this has been for Mr EH ... hope things are better today.
And well done on your lists - that crossing-off-everything is *very* impressive.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I'd love to see his face as you dial 99 when he has your car keys and wonders whether you will press the final 9!One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.
Total £9.120 -
OK - Daffs talking about goals etc reminded me that I had some set for January that I never really went back and commented / checked on, so having been to find them, here we go....
Return to our previous habit of having one completely "TV Free" night per week - probably Tuesdays. This has happened
Sort out our insurances - I know that there is a saving to be made, and we intended to do it a while ago, but everything going on with my job etc made us forget about it. Done! Three policies cancelled, and a new one taken out combining Life & CI for both of us, total saving £29.00 p/m which is being split as £19 going into a new "household" saving account for contents insurance etc and the other £10 going to increase the OP to the mortgage. :j
A really frugal month will be required, so I am going to aim for at least 15 NSD's in the month. I've never really aimed for a set number in the past so this is something new for me. Managed this, subsequently set a 14 day target for Feb but missed that by 1. Target for March is 15
The only groceries I will buy this month will be fruit & veg, milk, household (cleaning) items and perhaps a chicken. Didn't do so well on this - although did get well within budget in february. Will continue to try to cut back during March.
I will not buy ANY toiletries in the course of the month, and will also post this on the No Toiletries challenge thread to make certain I have to stick to it. I don't need anything so theoretically this should not be difficult!Did it!
OK - so I guess in the spirit of the thing I ought to work out some more....hmmmmm....! More thinking required yet then!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Bit of a quiet day today in terms of "getting things done" because of the darned seminar this morning. Having said that it WAS more interesting than I expected, and very informative. Just a shame it had to take up the vast chunk of the day! There is another one I need to book onto as well so I must get that organised. That's a fab idea! :j
Thanks! This is two years we've been doing this and it works really well 90% of the time - it's just nice to have a quiet night when we can read or chat of whatever without the TV getting in the way.
Right - £300 lump sum paid to the mortgage today - had to laugh when I went into the Northern Rock branch - the girl was going to call up for me so I could make the increase in regular payment as they couldn't do them in branch - so she asked (in a sort of "I know the answer but am just confirming it!" type way!) me to confirm that the Mortgage was with Northern Rock Asset Management (where 95% of the mortgage business went when they split apart from NR Plc) and it was great to see her expression of surprise when I said NO!She also confirmed that it was REALLY unusual to find a mortgage that had gone to the "ongoing business" side without attached savings accounts etc which was quite nice to hear. Anyhow, the monthly payment will increase by £10 from 1st April so I will play with my spreadsheet later and amend my signature. :j MrEH sorted out the money into the right place yesterday, but I do need to remember to do a transfer from the holiday account to cover the cheque we wrote for the balance on the cottage rental.
Two spends today - but one was the mortgage and the other was two smallish bits posted off to an eBay buyer so I am counting the day as a NSD as niehter of those bits count as "real" spends.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
