The HFC number is the complaints department number printed on their letter.

If that's not a true money saving expert at work - then I dont know what is! love it! :rotfl:
  • Anyone whos got a Barclays complaint - watch your post over the next few days - you're going to get one of 3 letters - It's going to say, either, Were investigating and your case is not affected by the JR, the case is on hold due to the JR or your case is being declined. The Barclays complaints department seems to have woken up! (at last!).

IF the letter is a "holding" letter does it explain why and also are you allowed to write back (treating customers fairly) and ask that its explained (in plain english) why it is being held back exactly?

No it's just states that the case is on hold and we cant give you an answer at the moment due to the JR etc, etc - however, interestingly - it does give FOS referral if you're not happy. I've seen three of these this morning - so you can guess where they're off to in tonights post.

FOS are to put a lot more staff onto PPI complaints.

Bumper payday in store for them... as they get close to £500 for each case.

Can't see how the banks will win this war.

They should explain in plain english as to why a complaint is being held and give their reasons for it like when they reject a PPI complaint. This is hardly treating the customer fairly so maybe complaints in to the FSA also. If the FSA get enough treating customers fairly complaints they may get off their !!! and do something.
