the !!!!!! jobsworth you spoke to at lloyds is 100% wrong, she is muddled.
if you have has an acceptance form, you will be paid!
be patient, this is confirmed by lloyds at a decent level.

Just wondered if you might be able to offer some advice on where my case might stand, as you seem to know more than me at least.
My case is with Halifax but as they are part of Lloyds I imagine their approaches may be similar. Basically Halifax upheld my complaint from the start, they have made an offer in the form of a cheque to be cashed against my outstanding balance, which I haven’t cashed. The complaint I referred to the FOS is solely over how much the redress should be for, specifically how much interest I am due.
As Halifax have already upheld my complaint is my case, as far as you’re aware, likely to be processed? Assuming obviously Halifax do follow the same procedure as Lloyds.
Any feedback would be appreciated. :cool:0 -

if you signed the acceptance form, they will uphold and honour the offer
if however you wish to challenge the offer, then thats down to the FOS, which will take many months.
i would take what you are being offered personally, or if you are not desperate for the cash, wait it out and the FOS will eventually deal with it.0 -

Would you like to re-phrase your above post in order to clarify whether you did actually intend to imply a link between spastics and morons?0 -

There was no acceptance form to sign, just a cheque to be cashed. I guess the cashing of the cheque would be the same in principle as signing an acceptance form?
It's a bit of a catch-22. If the FOS are likely to take many months/years to resolve the issue, or worse still if Halifax can worm out of refunding me altogether, then I'm very tempted to accept the offer if still possible. But it is for £1200 or so less than I know for a fact I am due, and that extra money would make a huige difference as it would clear the outstanding balance on the credit card account. And also as a matter of principle (if I can still afford them) Halifax have clearly stated in writing that they have upheld my claim and that to pay me in the way recommended by the FOS is "the only fair & reasonable way of addressing my complaint." And the FOS guidelines on how redress should be calculated regarding interest could not be clearer. They're blatantly flouting their own stated commitment.
Thanks for your help. :cool:0 -
I dont work for any bank.....no need to be so paranoid.
Do you have a problem with me objecting to the use of a type of disability in a derogotary manner?
not at all, but i think you know i was not making any personal comments on disabled people
!!!!!! is, wrongly at times, used to extract the urine out of certain types of people.
no need whatsoever to be so precious.0 -
