Very interesting topic here on what seems to be some of the issues the banks have a problem with - http://www.out-law.com/page-105090

Just a thought but is this fraud?
The banks have in many cases not only mis-sold through inappropriate advice but also they duped many customers into parting with money for PPI that the client did not even know about. They now refuse to listen to complaints and the public has no idea of what is going on.
Perhaps individuals should report Lloyds to the National Fraud Reporting Centre here - actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud0 -
Just rang Barclays about my PPI. They received my acceptance letter on 1st October (my claim was upheld by FOS - took 2 years but got there in the end!). I asked them what is happening to claims that have been upheld and they said they were still dealing with them and that mine would definitely be settled. My LBM - December 2010!

Hi everyone.
Just to let you know, my husband phoned LloydsTSB this morning to enquire whether he would still get his ppi refund - acceptance letter signed, and also received a letter dated 5th October showing the figure to be paid in to his bank(within 45 days). He was told this morning that on the 8th EVERYTHING ppi related was put on hold and the lady checked to see if his payment had managed to squeeze through, it hadn't, so he won't be getting his ppi refund. I thought that Lloyds had been quoted as saying 'all complaints upheld would not be affected'.

Sorry, I should of mentioned that my husbands complaint was upheld by Lloyds themselves. It never went to the FOS.
Will that make a difference if they say everything is on hold?0
