According to the gent I spoke to at the FOS, they don't know what is happening to the claims that have been agreed/upheld and are waiting for their legal dept to get back to them.
Di had different information given to her? She was told as it was upheld it would be OK.

Anyone have any views on what, if any influence the current PPI situation may have on a currently stayed court case, one of the components of the case is mis sold PPI. Bank said I could claim on PPI as unable to pay back loan (self employed - lack of business reduced income) but when I claimed, was refused as PPi did not cover me! Thanks
Have no idea on this one TBH. Perhaps someone else will come along with answers or maybe (so it does not get lost in here) start a new thread for more attention.

I know, this is what is so confusing. I think they are in the dark and so are we. They haven't even said what criteria they will be using for the holds eg loans, credit cards or if it is pre-existing conditions or pushy sales. I suppose some could be proved easier than others but it doesn't help the cramp I have got in my fingers from keeping them crossed tightly.

I wouldn't give Lloyds any more wriggle room than the Chilean miners had in their pod, to be honest.

Singlep had posted earlier in response to Di that maybe FOS will say its OK but LLoyds will still not pay out...?? It was said that Lloyds might find FOS's reasons under the Judicial review...

So the current position is that, several days on we are still none the wiser. Radio silence from the FSA, FOS and Martin. Ambiguous statements from the BWA.

This is a crazy and shameful situation.

Are the FSA waiting for the rebels to issue "hold" letters before taking action?

Eric Daniels should face an investigation for this.

Chase them up, to what I am aware of, anything they have upheld they should still continue to pay out.
    Good luck.;)

Hi all rang the idiots above today and even though they have had my acceptance since the end of August, they have done nothing to work out my settlement as they has an order of work! And now after 30 mins on the phone and 4 different departments they said it's on hold! I will get my money but they have no idea when!! Rang the FOS as they were involved in my claim and am waiting for them to get back to me. Apart from this problem LTSB have been my bank for 27 years and I have never had a problem with them but am seriously thinking of moving all of my accounts now.

    Hiya

I assumed they would still continue with the settlements offerered/accepted and signed!

You could maybe give the FSA a ring, see what they say.

Hope you receive your payout soon, good luck.

The man I spoke to today at LTSB said all claims whether accepted or not will be put on hold. And he agreed tht it was wrong when you have sent your acceptance back and they then say its on hold.

Yes that is right, they emailed my hubby yesterday and said as its a resolved case and only a redress calculation issue, so it will not be held back.

Here is the copy of the email received by the FOS yesterday.....
    Dear M,

Lloyds TSB are in the process of re-calculating your redress - I expect a response within the next 10 days.

I can confirm that your case will not be affected as your case has already been resolved. The only outstanding issue is that of the redress awarded.

    yours sincerely
