Halifax clearly stated at least once in writing that they considered that "the only fair & reasonable way" to deal with my complaint was to make an offer of redress in line with the guidelines of the FOS. And then they made an offer that didn't follow the guidelines.0

I personally have a feeling that public awareness and awareness to the FSA/FOS etc has been made already (with help of sites like this one which I feel I have not been lazy on or self indulgent lol!!) and its just a matter of time now!!!!
Just who's side the FSA were really on now... the banks or the consumers with legitimate solid complaints? Only time will tell and they will hardly just be able to ignore the rule book altogether.
I am still looking at this as a "positive" thing and I think the banks will lose. The FSA could then ask that they redress "everyone" without the need for complaints going to FOS, after all most people are complaining about the same thing here.
Just my view... you are entitled to yours!!!
here is the magic behind this stunt.....
the FSA is being disbanded next year.0 -

I thought his/her comment was totally out of order, but on the bright side big cats have BIG CLAWS. x0 -
The FSA will be abolished by 2012 and replaced by a subsidary of the Bank Of England.
Hector Sants will remain at the FSA to oversee the transition and become the first new deputy governor and cheif executive of the new prudential regualtor. The new government will also be establishing an independent commission on the banking industry.
It will look at the structure of banking in the UK, the state of competition in the industry and how customers and taxpayers can be sure of the best deal.
Osborne says the centrepiece of the new global standards for bank regulation will involve higher capital and liquidity requirements, and that bank capital requirements should respond to the cycle.0 -

lol, you actually think rules exist for gangsters?
its a racket, they control planet earth... the so called "regualtors" are even employed by them in a roundabout kind of way.
mass public awareness on a grand scale is the only solution.0 -

You must have an idea? Or are you going to live up to the name sake I have afforded you by being self indulgent and lazy!!!?
As usually happens on here there is stuff in news that people find on google and for some reason known only to themselves, usually historically it has been that people have lost jobs etc e.g. stopping selling PPI so redundancies. etc etc. We have seen it all on here people being aggressive and rude to those people on here who spend many hours each day helping others and supporting them, (I do not count myself as one as my post count as you will see is quite small) even so it is more than yours. Do not be rude and dismissive of regulars on here that are not paid or have nothing to gain just knowledge they have gained over the years.
Marshallka is in no way any of the stupid names you have afforded her although I think if you put a W on the beginning of your name that would sum you up.:mad:0 -
